Beautiful location, personalized service beyond expectations (the chef had his recipe for autumn cream soup ready for me when I was leaving), tasty meals, fascinating history, comfortable bed and bath - what's not to like? Our only regret was not having the time to explore the area which appears to be pretty spectacular. Tips: pop for one of the suites... More

We have stayed at many B&Bs, but the Clark House is surely one of the best anywhere. It is a completely restored home/mansion of over 100 years old, built by a mining baron and his wife that somewhere in the 50's fell into disrepair and was to have been demonlished, only to have the current owner buy the property and... I attended an outdoor dinner and piano bar with a group at the Clark House. The food was absolutely wonderful. The house is an old mansion that has been remodeled back to its era and is beautiful. We were well waited on and couldn't have asked for a more pleasant evening. I look forward to going back. Did not use... More

We spent two nights recently at the Clark House. Our room was very roomy and comfortable and clean. A great view of Hayden Lake from our balcony as well as a family of deer grazing on the lawn were provided. Staff were generally very nice to us although it did seem that "piano bar" night took precedence over the importance... More

Clark House is a step back in time, set on the lake and surrounded by natural beauty, for us it was all about the grand home and its delightful host. Mark met us at the door with enthusiasm and a graciousness that was unmatched in a 4 week tour that took us from Chicago to Seattle. The home has been... More

If you have ever wanted to go back in time, have dinner at The Clark House. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner in an intimate dining room. Music from the outdoor piano man drifted through the house while we enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. Our waiter, Kevin, was wonderful and made us feel like... More

The home and grounds are impeccably managed by Monty and Mark and their hospitality will bring us back again to this serene amazing Inn. Our welcome to our two day stay was a glass of wine and a tour of this grand hotel, as well as a unconditional acceptance of our little Dachie pup to the family! Make sure you... More

Situated in the remote area of Hayden lake, This wonderful old mansion converted into a B&B is a great place to stay or to visit. During the summer months be sure to check out Ron Pass entertaining on the piano outside on the huge deck behind the house. Great drinks, food and fun

We stayed two nights in the beautiful inn in the Nanny's room on the 3rd and top floor, which was a beautiful and comfortable room. There are plenty of places to enjoy a quiet read, including on the second floor landing, the first floor lobby, and outside overlooking the lake. The breakfasts were wonderful and we had a lovely and... More

I booked a night at this B&B because the Coeur d'Alene hotel we wanted was sold out. I read all the gushing reviews and expected some kind of out of world experience, but NO. This is place is located in what is now a residential neighborhood, and itself is NOT on the lake. The views of the rooms are block... More
