The hotel's location is a few meters from the vaporetti terminal in Lido. There are a lot of shops and restaurants on the front road. Inside, the hotel looks outdated and the room we were given was extremely small. Overall it is a medium choice in case you don't have to stay for long in the room.

this hotel is old , dark and sad if you love dark style is for you . Old plastic flowers everywere , extremely dark lobby, as well as the corridors up the floors. The good things are the staff of the breakfast room , especially the senior man , he is extremely professional and friendly, though breakfast is not anything special... I stayed at the Helvetia hotel in May 2015. The hotel is located very close to the vaporetta station and its amenities are excellent, there are nice restaurants nearby a supermarket, bakeries and the hotel is only located within a 10 minutes walk to the beach. Upon our arrival a lady was there named Isabella, she was arguing on the... More

We stayed at this hotel for a few days in May. The hotel is in the center of Lido , a short walk from the ferry terminal and 10 minutes from St. Mark's Square . In fact this was one of the positive points of this place . The rooms are quite sad but very clean , the cleaning is... More

The hotel staff here were more than welcoming and very helpful, and very nice people, the rooms were cosy and the shower was very powerful, just what you need after a long busy day, the only downside was there was no tea and coffee facilities within the room and the pillows wer like bricks which left my neck in pain... This hotel is much worse than described in the previous reviews. It is very cheap and you really do get what you pay for here. The only thing positve about the place is the location, it is literally right where you catch the boat buses. The hotel is dark as soon as you enter and the rooms are even worse.... More

Dear Sarah J., We are sorry you have not enjoyed your stay in our hotel. Apart from the size of the room (economy rooms have 14 square meters and we beleive you have booked an economy double room with queen size bed), we must add that it is hardly possible that our rooms smell as you have described in your... Great location, nice rooms, a little bit of dust just above the bed, but the hotel staff, a big disappointment. When we just entered the hotel we wished the lady at the desk a good day and while doing the check in we had a small chat with her, asking for hints what to visit, and since we were talking... More

Having got a great deal through Expedia, this hotel was really good value. The Lido was a really good place to stay in general, as it was cheaper and quieter than the main tourist areas. The hotel in particular was in the perfect location on the Lido, as it was less than a minute to the Vaporetto (waterbus) stop. The... More

This hotel has a good location as it is close to the boat services to historical venice. The hotel generally quite old but comfortable. Expensive wifi. Very expensive if check out late but could leave bags in hotel.

This hotel is not modern at all - furniture must be from the seventies, I guess. But for some reason I like it quite well, because it breathes the atmosphere of the old days. And all is still clean and well maintained. Our room had a new airco but still had a large, lovely old-style ventilator on the ceiling. The... More
