Had a nice stay at the Venice Film Festival. Beautiful hotel, clean, welcoming and warm staff. Terrific breakfast that can't be beat. As busy as the hotel was for the festival, other than the reception, it never felt crowded. Would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel, big rooms you just have to take a boat to go to the city. This boat goes every 1/2 hour and takes 20 minutes but the ride is wonderful. It has a very nice swimming pool to relax after a day in the city

This hotel, located on a quieter, off the shores part of the island of Lido and about a 20 minute boat ride to St. Mark's Square in Venice proper, almost hits the spot with it's amenities and somewhat with it's service. With it's large, family-friendly cabanas along the beach and the large, awesome pool to swim, it was a treat... More

Location, big Rooms, Pool, Beach & Boat transfer to Venice perfect. Breakfast extensive, but service and location could be improved. Front desk service could be improved. For those traveling with a car, it would be a nice gesture, if Front desk offers to book the car ferry to leave the lido (resp. to alert their customers) to pre-book the ferry... More

We had a wonderful time when we stayed here. Venice Lido is a very good option if you want to combine some sightseeing with some lounging by the pool, and this hotel is particularly good because of the wonderful and very prompt shuttle service which makes Venice very accessible. The hotel has a lovely pool area, a good gym and... More

My initial fear was the hotel would be too far off the beaten track. Thanks to the excellent shuttle service, this was never a problem. This only added to the many real benefits of staying at the Lido: a quieter, less populous locale with a courteous staff and very comfortable accommodations. Even for Venice, the hotel restaurant was very pricey:... More

We cannot fault this hotel , remember Venice is a crazily expensive City , we had exceptional service from all the staff from concierge to front desk , bar to restaurant , beach to pool and housekeeping . It is fantastic to stay fifteen minutes out of the hustle and bustle of Central Venice but we missed nothing . Only... More

This Hotel runs a boat service every 30 mins to St Marks Square and back until late so perfect. The Service was great, nothing too much trouble. The beach and sea was wonderful and the Hotel pool really lovely. Take lots of money for Venice. Certainly recommend a Hotel on the Lido in Summer.

We spent 4 nights at the Excelsior for our "mini-moon" last week (July 22nd - 26th). From the airport you can take the either the water taxis or the vaporetto (water buses). The blue line or the red line will take you to Lido S.M.E. From S.M.E. you can take a bus (think it is the V), which stops close... More
