Arrived quite late on a Saturday night having negotiated the coach transfer and water bus journey. We were welcomed by the very helpful staff. Our room was amazing, a huge bed and a spotlessly clean bathroom. The view from the room wasn't bad either. The restaurant was great, the buffet breakfast was more than generous. The bacon could have been... More

At first glance you look at this hotel and think 'wow' but does it really have the wow factor? not really. The decor of the outside of the hotel, reception and corridors is beautiful and looks very elegant unfortunately this doesn't continue when you get to the bedrooms. I stayed in a junior suit and overall it was pretty basic... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with friends whilst exploring Venice and the Lido. It is very close to the Vaporetto stop and just a beautiful 20 minute boat road across the lagoon to San Marco. The hotel was great! The outside is striking with the antique interior being far more subtle. The hotel reminds you of a... More

Our first impression when arriving at the hotel at 12.30am was oh my gosh it looked amazing the Art Deco design reminded us of the grand Budapest hotel film ,when entering we were met by the night porter who went into telling us all about Venice at this time in the morning we were starting to fall asleep but we... Very helpful and friendly staff, about a five minute walk from water taxi station. Good breakfast in a lovely conservatory including hot and cold food on a self-service basis. Rooms clean but a little small. Overall, a good hotel base to visit Venice and the islands.

Just a beautiful hotel with helpful friendly staff. Lido is a great spot to be and the Grande Albergo is perfectly located just a short stroll from the water. Our fourth floor rooms were great and interconnecting which is not a Regular occurrence in this part of the world. The hotel was a perfect fit for the romance of Venice!

This was the first time we have stayed at this hotel since it has been refurbished and it is now excellent. The staff are all most professional but still very friendly. The breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold food. The bedroom was good but in the room that we had the bathroom was very small. There... More

This is a very nice hotel and the staff are very friendly. If I get the chance to visit Venice again I would stop here. The hotel has just been refurbished and it is truly beautiful. We both enjoyed the stay here .

Have just spent 3 nights here, yes its tired in parts, but obviously a work in progress .Rooms, although very clean , have no tea making facility , which it could do with, heating couldn't be regulated , so we opened windows , not so bad. Breakfast was great , and the staff , very friendly and courteous . Biggest... More
