Its a misfortune that so many conferences happen on Lido. I hate the masses of tourists as much as the next person, but I like the Lido even less than findng my way to quieter parts of Venice. It simply doesn't have the feel of the past in the same way - and its as if you are at a beach... More

The hotel was excellent and the staff could not be more obliging, they really put themselves out and made our stay more pleasurable. The hotel has an air of old world charm. The outside of the hotel is unique in as much it at seems to have a tile exterior which is amazing, any photographs don't do it justice. What... More

We stayed here as part of out tour of Italy. It was a quaint place , and had a reasonable breakfast. Our room was very small and quite poky. Clean and tidy but the bed was very hard! Close to the water transfer to Venice and small supermarket just a short walk down the road

Was here for a 2 night stay. And I gotta say that the hotel exterior were nice and unique. Both me and partner was in awe with the exterior. Arrived at 6am and gotta wait for few hours to have our room. During checked in, receptionist was helpful and friendly was trying her best to help us out. Once we... More

This hotel is ideally suited if you want to visit Venice but not be surrounded by tourists. The Lido is not only a short waterbus ride away from the main island but the hotel is only 10mins from a gorgeous beach that is great to stroll along after a busy day walking the streets & steps of Venice. The hotel... More

The grande Albergo is a beautiful hotel with a spa connected. The breakfast has a vast selection of everything from scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurt, bread and pastries. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is a nice and quiet atmosphere. The rooms were well-equipped with a water boiler, coffee cups and a small selection of teabags etc. In our... More

We stayed here for one week as a treat for my niece and nephew as they both celebrate special birthdays this year. The hotel looks magnificent from outside and is clean and welcoming on the inside. Everyone without exception was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was smaller than expected from the pictures we had seen and felt... More

Don't expect all the mod cons it is an old hotel that has been restored. However expect to be transported back in time when it was a Grand Hotel. The facade of the hotel is covered in tiles of yesteryear. You will experience older style furnishings and surrounds. The plumbing has been updated to a reaonabke standard. On Thursday evenings... Unbelievably beautiful. Reminiscent of times gone by in a very good way. The rooms are beautifully done and the staff is pleasant. Conveniently located to do shopping or look for a local restaurant to eat at.
