Not only the hotel is very nice, staff very professional and helpful. This hotel is situated in the middle of everything. the ferry bus station is just across the road, there is nice rest around and the breakfast of the hotel is one off. For people who want to visit Venezia and enjoy some time off the tourist crowd this... More

We stayed here 31st march - 3 April 2014, there are road works outside the hotel & no air-con in the rooms for another month, it was very hot in the night but we couldn't have the windows open as it was noisy in the mornings from 6am, the breakfast is very basic with no hot food. The rooms are... More

Its location right off of the vaporetto stop is one of its perks, as well as being close to a variety of restaurants, bars, a grocery store is two blocks away, but that is also one of its drawbacks as the street can be on the loud side at night, and our room was 1st floor, corner across from a... As soon as we walked in our room we noticed the strong smell of the old carpet. If you leave the window open it seems to go away but as soon as you close it comes back. We asked to change room and they showed us another one but the smell was about the same. Thin walls, we could hear... More

This hotel is lovely, the décor is Romantic Baroque (for those of us who love it) and it had the best lighting in both the rooms and the baths of all the hotels we stayed in all over Western Europe. Everything was very clean and attractive, there was unlimited really hot water and steam in our plexiglass shower and we... More

Location Location Location...directly across from the Vaporetto. Very close proximity to many restaurants, grocery, bars, etc. Walking distance (approx) 1/4-1/2 mile to beach. Hotel staff very friendly. Clean, unassuming modest hotel.Great Breakfast selection.

We arrived in Lido only to find the hotel we had booked on-line totally unsuitable [bathroom not serviced] so, after a little searching found The Hotel Riviera, next-door to the ferry terminal, a excellent location. Some of the hotels were already closing for the winter and to find a good hotel so close the transport with rooms available for three... More

The hotel location was good you only cross street from water bus bay, it was clean, the staff was not that friendly possibly a language barrier, there was no bath , only shower tray and bathroom was too small, no tea tray and room telephone has no digits I didn't know how to use, breakfast and cleanness were good but... Just for reference, we are a well traveled (the fridge is running out of space for magnets) couple in our 40s with no kids of European background. We visited Venice in September 2013 and we stayed in Lido for 4 nights during this stay. Our criteria was clean, quiet, relatively close to transportation (vaporetto). Of course the price is always... More

If you want to spend a few days visiting Venice but want to get away from the madness at night time then Hotel Rivera is the place to stay. Only a short Vaporetto ride from the main Island you'll find this little gem of a hotel on the Island of Lido. Here it is much more relaxed and quieter with... More
