The hotel looks a little run down from the outside but the rooms are large and well maintained. The owners are very accommodating and take great pride in their property. Breakfast was cooked to order and if they offer you the Japanese omelette try one--you will not be disappointed. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean,... More

This is a good choice for a one or two night stay. Close access to I-90 and a few blocks from great neighborhood restaurants. Breakfast is cooked to order (not your typical waffles, toast and stale fruit buffet), and you can even choose steak and eggs. Word of advice -- The rooms do not have hair dryers, but they're happy... More

This is a very nice place to spend the day and night. While it's a bit of a distance to the downtown area and lakefront, it served me well as I biked around town exploring Coeur D'Alene for the first time. The room was spotless, the towels were textured, the carpeting was berber, and the bed was the best I've... More

We stayed here for an extra day...the rooms where inviting and relaxing, the hosts were inviting and responsive to our needs. We will most definitely stay here again...it was one of the highlights of our trip. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order every morning. The rooms where immaculate, well appointed and the little extras made you feel very pampered... More

Nice motel room with good beds and comfy bedding. Paid $130 plus tax which was higher than other motels on trip, but a good value in Coeur d'Alene. The price included breakfast which is made to order from select menu -- we had steak and eggs. Clean and well run. I'd return. More

My friend and I made this our last stop on our road trip out west. After many hit-or-miss motels, and tours of national parks, it was refreshing to relax at the Japan House. The place is spotless, the beds are comfortable, and there was a free steak and egg breakfast (for the 10 year anniversary)! The place is honestly perfect,... More

I stayed at Japan House for three nights while attending a medical meeting. The other hotels were more than $150 and Japan House was less than$100. I was concerned about a motel but tripadvisor once again proved to be true. The bed and linen were high end super soft. The carpet was new and clean. The shower was nothing special.... More
