This was our first visit to Idaho, but it won't be our last - especially to Coeur d'Alene! And there is no doubt that we will be staying with Brian and Shar; they are easily in our top 3 list of hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting. (And we have stayed in many B&B's!) The collections in the... More

We spent two nights with Brian and Shar at their warm and friendly B&B. Breakfasts were delicious, coffee always on hand, cookies a pleanty, and good recommendations on things to see and where to eat with good coupons too boot. They treat their guests as friends.

Thanks for your kind remarks. We enjoy the fact that our 5 acre setting offers the peace and quiet of the countryside but yet getting to the action in the heart of downtown is just a few minutes drive away! In fact, our favorite restaurant, a very unique venue as it floats on Lake Coeur d'Alene at the mouth of... More

My husband and I stayed at American Country Bed and Breakfast May 14-17 and had an amazing experience. This was our first ever stay in a B&B. Brian and Shar are wonderful hosts. They were so nice and welcoming! They knew the best places to eat and sent us on the best hike! The food they prepared was first class.... More

Wow! I will let Auntie Val know how much you enjoyed her banana nut bread recipe which we added to the cookbook. By the way, we just released the 5th edition! Yes,Tubbs Hill is a fun hike right in the middle of downtown Coeur d'Alene and Mineral Ridge on the Eastern side of the lake offers some beautiful vistas as... More

There is absolutely nothing you could complain about this place. Brian and Shar make sure that you feel at home in all prospects with their wonderful hospitality. The tree house is carefully decorated and everything neatly placed to appreciate the grace of the facilities and nature. You get to see deers and elks in close range with a binocular. The... More

We have visited this wonderful B & B for a third time now and it is never a disappointment. Super clean with attention to every last detail. Nothing is overlooked. We now refer to it as our home away from home. This time we stayed in the "Sweet". The King bed was ultra comfy and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub.... More

We liked this place, although it was not what we expected. Start with the hosts: Shar and Brian wrote the book on BNB gracious hosting. I think they implement every trick imaginable: turndown service, lush robes, pillow chocolates, departure photo, etc. They are very devoted to their guests, they know CDA, and have a lot of good advice. The breakfast... More

What a great detailed review! So much to digest. Yes, we are proud of our collection of Americana, thanks for bringing it to life for our future guests! We appreciate your observations on the "Big Sweet" and like any review, we will take it to heart. We always strive to become better at what we do, and welcome our guests... More

This was our second time here and Brian and Shar are great hosts.. Lots of info about the area, best places to eat and drink.. They created Idaho tour maps for wineries, breweries and bikes.. And b&b's.. There are NEMA 14-50 rv hookups here for your EV.. CDA has a new Tesla supercharger too! Love this B&B!

This may be the best bed and breakfast ever! It is the first I have seen that was built to be a B and B, not a converted home. The owners live on site but in separate quarters. All guest rooms (5) look very nice, but the big suite is just that! It faces the front yard and the gazebo.... More

We had booked this B&B from Western Australia before we left for the U.S., being a stop-over for one night between Yellowstone & Vancouver, due to time commitments. It looked great on the web site & trip advisor, I even spoke to Brian to arrange a dinner booking prior to our leaving Perth. How were we to know just how good... More

It's always exciting to have guests from abroad and we don't get to meet very many Australians. We were so happy to be a part of the special holiday you planned. We look forward to seeing you again one day, and we do hope you will stay longer too! More

We stayed here for one night during our Western USA road trip. Originally it was meant to be just a convenient stopover between Portland and Yellowstone but as it turned out this was our favourite hotel on the entire journey. Being a family run B&B it made a welcome change to the big hotel chains. The owners Brian and Shar... More
