We went here for our anniversary, stayed in Room 1. Very spacious, had a large king sized bed with plush linens and very comfy pillows. Staff was warm and friendly, and was very flexible in accommodating our needs. Loved the grounds and the atmosphere of the place! We had a key to the house and room so we could come... More

We had a wonderful time at the Blackwell Hotel. The staff was so friendly and accomodating. The mansion is decorated beautifully, and the bed was so comfy! The location is perfect! Walking distance from great pubs, dining and real close to the lake. We'd highly recommend spending some time here. We'll definitely be back soon!

A beautiful and charming stay - both the hotel and staff could not have been better. Also we loved the location for the quick walk to downtown. Restaurants, shops and some night life are all within minutes of the hotel.

The Blackwell Hotel is inside a beautiful renovated home with all the modern amenities you might want, including central a/c. The rooms are large, have seating areas, private bathrooms, and comfortable memory foam mattresses. Breakfast is a continental-style buffet, including Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but they are unobtrusive. If you'd... More

We were travelling from Seattle to Whitefish and used the hotel for a stop-over; we chose well. In a great location to access the lake, local restaurants and shops, the hotel is tastefully decorate and provided a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and a prime spot to eat out in the back yard area. It... More

Great location right downtown. Walk to lake front, bike rental, Tubbs Hill, local restaurants. The Blackwell was recently restored with obvious attention to detail. Their very professional staff was very welcoming and helpful. I booked one night and stayed a second night after a great initial experience and good value. Breakfast was good and they offered many healthy choices. The... More

The location is great for walking the "main street" of Coeur d'Alene and seeing the waterfront. We really enjoyed having some wine on the beautiful porch and having our breakfast there as well. It might be nice to have a couple more chairs out there so more guests could do the same. We had the bedroom with two single beds... More

I rarely if ever give 5 stars. Blackwell gets my 5 stars. I have never stayed at a B&B before - not even sure if this IS one - but I was a little nervous. The idea of a "family style" breakfast or sharing a bathroom with my "sister in the next room" DOES NOT appeal to me. I was... More

We were traveling from Moscow, Idaho to Spokane, WA. On a Monday for an early Tuesday morning flight. We were going to stay at the airport in Spokane. On our way we decided to visit Coeur d'Alene. We liked it so much we canceled our room I. Spokane so we could spend the night in Coeur d'Alene. The best thing... More

We received a very friendly welcome. Our room was very clean as was the kitchen and the entire house. Very tastefully renovated, a Victorian home with simple modern furnishings. Lots of room in the bathroom, no shower, only hand held in the claw foot tub. We stayed in Room 6 on the third floor which may be difficult to access... More
