Although the staff was very friendly and helped carry some bags upstairs , as there is no space for an elevator , the 2-3 floor climb could be difficult for some guests. The spaces were dark and furnished with older furniture, which might be as expected for an 1908 house, but it looked dumpy. The biggest disappointment and to our... More

The only nice thing I can say about Greenbrier is that the location was close to town. The house and landscaping need major repair....the rooms were dark and dingy.....bad smelling....toilet wasn't working properly....and the breakfast which you fetched yourself was minimal....you even make your own pot of coffee...All 10 people staying there chatted how disappointing the experience was. I would... More

Great location, close to the lake. Beautiful comfortable old historic home, nice bed. Romantic setting. Breakfast wasn't a traditional cooked B&B deal, but something left for us in the fridge. Plenty of fruit, which we enjoyed, nice pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and we had access to a full kitchen which was great. One big oversight, however: water. See uploaded... More

To be sure this is an aging structure (1908 I believe?), which for many of the guests is part of the appeal. Just be aware that with age comes charm, but also very thin walls, loud air conditioning (we could hear the other rooms'), creaky beds (though we found them to be comfortable) and small rooms. We were staying in... More

I love old houses. I love how they creak and squeak and the charm and character of something old. On the other hand, I DO appreciate a few modern upgrades and a slightly higher standard of basic cleanliness. That being said, these are great people that love being in this business and love their old house. I was in Room... More

The room was very over priced for the accommodations! The lighting was poor. The bed was average. The breakfast was limited. The B&B portion of the business here is not well supported. It looks like their main business is the restaurant & catering. We arrived a little before 3, 3 was the check in time, & was efficiently checked in,... More

We had a Groupon for this one night stay. 99$ for a suit. The restaurant and bar was warm and inviting. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The room was full of antiques and semi-clean. Unfortunately, the mattress was very old & incredibly difficult to sleep on. It ruined the experience for us.

groupon deal was a hit. The 315 martini bar downstairs in the Greenbrier is very nice! The staff was kind and helpful! Good food good drinks. We came on a Tues so we got to hear the live music. Was not to loud, and enjoyable with my huckleberry martini. Gove this place a try! The innkeeper Kris is a sweet... More

They have a kitchen on each floor with fruit and pastries left for each room every morning. They also have coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches, and waffles available if you would like. (Not a full breakfast B & B) There is a restaurant (opens at 3pm) that has live music 3 nights a week, 6-9pm. The food we had was very... More

Stayed here for one night in August. Very lovely place. Arrived early and was greeted by Kris. She was so attentive and welcoming. She took us to our room and showed us around. Room was small but quaint. I think we were in room number one. It had an air conditioning unit in the window that worked well. Bed was... More
