The McFarland Inn is gorgeous. Nancy is very very nice and great to talk to. Just saw a negative review stating she was "not gracious". That is the farthest thing from the truth. The house is beautiful and oozes charm. love the wooden floors and creaking you get when walking through the place. Very clean and breakfast and coffee in... More

This was our final stop on a two-week trip to three national parks before returning home to Seattle. We were travel-weary and had come 550 miles from the Grand Tetons. Nancy was welcoming and provided a warm, comfortable place for us to rest and refresh before our final day of driving. She spent 10-15 minutes with us on arrival giving... More

Beautiful home, obviously much loved. Nancy is a great host, full of tips & ideas of how to make the most of your time with her. The quality of everything in her home is second to none, from the sheets on the bed to the amazing breakfasts she lovingly prepares.

Nancy was anything but gracious. We found her to be quite rude. Other guests expressed the same sentiments. The B&B itself is great and it's run efficiently, but if you're looking for a warm and kind hostess, look elsewhere. We planned to leave early on the departure day but got visiting with the other guests. Nancy's last remark to me... More

I am saddened and surprised by this review. I really liked this couple. They were here three nights and I thought we had some pleasant interactions. I admit, the check-in process was awkward. For some reason we did not connect well when they arrived and felt I was not helping them enough because of that. I was really trying to... More

The McFarland Inn is very professionally managed. The gorgeous house is made available for the guests to use as their own (other than the main kitchen area), and is very well thought-out in order to meet guests' every need. When arriving, the owner gives you a tour of the home so you may feel comfortable wandering around it later. She... More

My wife & I enjoyed 2 nights here in the latter part of August and thoroughly enjoyed our host Nancy's hospitality and the charm of Couer D'Alene. Well situated close to the downtown strip, we never even started the car from the time we arrived until we left. Many great restaurants close by; lots to chose from for all tastes.... More

We had a great experience at this B&B. Nancy tries very hard to make everyone feel at home in her beautiful old house. The inn is close to the Main Street and the lakefront. Loved the cat Charley, huge personality, but no issues of cat dander if you have allergies. The breakfast was wonderful, plenty to eat and great coffee. Wine... More

In July we had a delightful two night stay at the McFarland Inn. This bed and breakfast is beautifully decorated with period furniture and also has modern amenities. Nancy is a perfect hostess who is very knowledgeable with great restaurant recommendations and things to do in Coeur d'Alene. Her breakfasts were delicious and some of the best that we've had in... We spent three nights at the McFarland Inn this month. It is a lovely facility on a quiet residential street and walking distance to all of Coeur d'Alene's attractions. The owner, Nancy is obviously a perfectionist and the Inn and its sleeping rooms are very tastefully decorated and neat as a pin. She is also a gourmet cook and the... More

As my grandchildren would say "OMG". I have stayed at B & B's all over Europe and the U.S. and I would rate Nancy's Inn as high as any place I've stayed. The furnishing, décor, ambience were all beyond first rate. The food was wonderful and plenty of it (try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes). Nancy is a perfect host, knowledgeable... More
