Our host and hostess were warm and welcoming. Our room was neat as a pin, spacious, quiet and comfortable. And the homemade breakfast was outstanding! We were passing through and only stayed one day, but would like to have stayed longer. The grounds of the B&B are beautiful, as is the surrounding area.

My daughter and I stayed here and it was the high light of our trip. Ruth made us feel so welcome. We stayed in a class room with two single beds but there are queen size beds in the other rooms. The grounds are beautiful, with spots to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Breakfast was great, cloth table clothes... More

The property is gorgeous! The homemade breakfast was over-the-top! Oh my goodness, SO good! Our room was very comfortable with all we needed. We stayed two nights. My only complaint would be the hostess Ruth. She was intrusive and over-bearing. Extremely bossy with my children and would complain to guests about other guests. I found this very unprofessional. She would... More

This is a great BnB. Do not let the one poor review sway you (that person would do best to just stay at a Hilton). Ruth and Gene really run this place well. You feel totally welcome. The place is completely charming. They went to a lot of work to restore and convert this schoolhouse to a BnB. It feels... More

While on a road trip to California recently, my husband and I stayed in this unique B&B after crossing the Canada/US border late afternoon on our first day out. The stairway that greets you inside the front door of this heritage school building is polished to a shine and the room we had was equally clean. It was very stylishly... More

I can't say enough good things about the Northside School B&B! The rooms are comfortable, stylish and affordable. The host is friendly and helpful. If you are staying during the warm summer months, it has the best pool around. In the winter the hot tub is a welcome retreat. And the food — just the best! You will not leave... More

A nice B&B with the emphasis on BREAKFAST...excellent French toast and quiche, fresh berries, bacon, eggs, coffee, orange juice to name a few. The breakfast is so grand, you'll want to stay another night. Oh, yummmmm.

We stayed here as part of an auction weekend and it was the best move I have made of late for travel accommodations. The place was magnificent. All the former are former classrooms in a school built more than 100 years ago. Wonderfully kept and lots of little extras (do not miss out on the cookies...I didn't and my taste... More

This B&B is absolutely charming. The furnishings and floors are lovely. Walls are filled with interesting, eclectic art and period photographs. There are books available to browse or read. Our room was large with high ceilings, lilac motif, a very comfortable bed and antique toys and dolls on a shelf. Linens were exceptional and the bathrobes were a surprise and... More

Had a wonderful stay here! The building itself is absolutely charming right down to the very squeaky hardwood floors. The rooms were roomy and beds were comfy. The decorations throughout the whole building were amazing. Pool, hot tub, walking distance to down town and Mother Hen Ruth was the most gracious hostess, making sure everyone was comfortable and taken care... More
