Stayed at the Safari Inn for two nights. Rooms were a little dated, but clean. Property is in Downtown Boise, and the other hotels were charging double the rate. Breakfast was typical simple breakfast fair, nothing hot other than oatmeal. Staff were friendly, and I loved the giraffe in the lobby. Not luxurious, but affordable, especially if you want to... On the good side, the location is convenient to downtown. The room rate was reasonable. For the rest, the property is showing its age. The same is true of the rooms. If I could, I'd give this property 2 1/2 stars. I wouldn't say it's poor but I wouldn't say it's good either. Decent, which another reviewer used, is as... More

The safari inn is located right downtown. You can walk to all the restaurants, shops and offices. The parking is free although you can take a taxi to the hotel from the airport if all your visits are down town. You can walk to BSU but it is a little far. They have free Wifi and a sad/1 star free... More

this hotel had terrible customer service, they treated me as if I wasn't important enough for them to even listen to what I was saying. My key never worked, I had to have them give me a new key almost twice every day I stayed there. And they accused me of lying to them so that they could keep my... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here due to its location and in that respect were not disappointed. Other than that, this hotel is average in every way. The rooms are outdated with appliances and heating/cooling unit needing repair. The beds are decently comfortable but clean. There are randomly placed pictures and wooden cutouts of various animals scattered within and without... More

We had several amenities that we required on this overnight stay. Downtown location so we could walk to dinner and entertainment, this is a great downtown location. An electric outlet for our Ford diesel pick up due to temps in the teens, we got it and the rig started with no problems this morning. Room for 2 adults and 2... More

I was attending an event downtown and did not want to drive home afterward. The location was great, just a short walk to the Knitting Factory. The place was clean, had Wi-Fi, and close enough to walk to downtown Boise too. What also enjoyed was the late check out time, 1 pm. Overall it was a really good value.

Stayed in this place to be walking distance to downtown on business, as all other hotels were booked solid when I arrived. It was family friendly, but not the best choice for a business traveler because amenities are minimal. It was clean, and a breakfast bar is included. But it does look like it needs some renovating and updating as... More

A bunch of my girlfriends stay here each year to do the Fitness Walk/Race. It is convenient to walk to the starting place and the finish line. Plus we can walk around town to go to dinner and drinks. The general continental breakfast but it does get you full. Its clean and somewhat quiet to be uptown. Very friendly staff.... More

We travel with our dog, so we are always happy to find a "local" hotel that is pet friendly. The pet friendly rooms are only in one building on one floor, so those of you who don't travel with pets can still be away from those of us who do. We really enjoyed our stay at the Safari. It was... More
