I've already written a review of this hostel, but looks like it's been erased! Stayed here earlier in July & loved the people but VERY disturbed by the manager. When I 1st called to book it was like pulling teeth to get him to answer any questions! He said I could come anytime but when I told him when I... More

I've already stayed in many youth hostels in Europe and North America. This one is the dirtiest and the weirdest I've never seen. Everything is full of grime (bathroom, kitchen, fridge) and need a serious cleaning. But the guy who was in charge the day I was there prefered watching tv and partying rather taking care of this place and... More

Cool hostel located in the heart of all the action downtown. The hostel is very basic but its all you really need while in Boise. Beds are comfy, has all the necessary things for a good stay. The manager on the other hand clarke is awesome with his local knowledge of bars and attractions. He is the best part about... More

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights in Boise during a road trip through the West. We were new to hostel accommodations, but she's still in college and I like "roughing it" so we enjoyed the experience. Idahostel is in a great location on 8th Street, which is the entertainment center of Boise - lots of restaurants, local bars, and... More

I stayed here last spring, so I'm not sure if anything has changed since then. This is a different sort of hostel than most, and as long as you're prepared for that you'll have a good experience. The hostel is right in downtown Boise and you can walk to everything. I was able to find free street parking since it... More

This is an awesome place located right in the smack middle of Boise's nightlife right near the grey hound station, which is great if you arrive (as i did) on the bus. Clean, friendly and well run by an African girl and her hipster boyfriend. You barely need to leave the hostel to have a great night out. The staff... More

I have been in many backpackers hostels in europe and vietnam and this one is the worse. the women's bathroom was dirty and the air conditioning motors of the top floor are inside the hostel. the noise was unbearable even with earplugs. i managed to spleep only 2 hours. it s a pity because the location is great
