Cannot believe I had to scroll to number 34 of the hotels in Boise to find the gem we stayed at....we arrived late into town were offered $139 + taxes at one hotel and the option to line up behind 3000 military personnel to check in at another. We finally found this one. I was hesitant at first...just the outlook... more

I just read the other reviews of this hotel, and I think there is a reason why the more recent reviews are generally favorable. I think part, if not all, of the hotel has been renovated in the past couple of years. The rooms we had certainly seemed to be newly painted/carpeted/upholstered. It was also very quiet, so much so... more

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the Owyhee Hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! We stayed in Boise for five nights. We had one of the newly renovated "deluxe" rooms with two queen beds. There were TEN pillows! The hotel is downtown... more

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and had a wonderful experience there. It is a full service hotel with all the amenities, and is right in downtown and within easy walking distance to all of the sites, stores and restaurants. I did not need a car to get around and they have a shuttle service to/from the airport. Stayed... more

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights - convenient to walk downtown and good access to restaurants. Hotel has expensive evening restaurant (did not try) and has grill open for breakfast (good but expensive) Arrived at 7.30 pm and went to grill (Sunday) but advised they were closing but that bar would serve similar snacks. This appeared to close at 9pm... more

I stayed here because I attended a wedding at the hotel. I had read some of the bad reviews so was worried but I had a good stay. My room was in the main hotel and was was big and clean. I didn't have a car so it was nice to be able to walk to shopping and restaurants. I... more

We stayed at the Owyhee Plaza for 3 nights last week and it was just fine. I read some of the bad reviews so when we got there I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, our room was comfortable, and the staff were helpful. It was right downtown in Boise and close to shopping and great restaurants. I'm not sure... more

Our room supposedly was an "upgrade" since the hotel made an error on our reservation and overbooked. We did have a king-size bed, but the room was very noisy. The bathroom had a shower (no tub), crumbly walls, peeling paint, and a "vanity" that was a 9-inch shelf built over the toilet. The heat went out during our first night... more

Stayed at the Owyhee for two nights. Not too bad. The people were friendly and the room was clean. The central location was very nice for someone who had never been to Boise before. It did get a little noisy, but earplugs (always a must on a road trip) blocked it all out. The worst thing I can say about... more

Very nice hotel workers, horrible room. Dirty shower, creaky floor, curtains did not close due to traveling rail not working. Worn carpet, dirt in all the wrong places. Road noise, thin walls. The A/C unit sounded like a train engine and the room had an odd smell. Do not stay here, I had no choice, the entire city was full... more
