I cannot imagine that we stayed in the same B&B as the other reviewers who wrote such glowing tributes. We had a totally different experience. I think the B&B was at one time a lovely place but it is now very tired and needs to retire. more

The Idaho Heritage Inn is a delight! First off, this Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located - Boise State University, the downtown district, Boise Art Museum, Idaho Historical Museum, Zoo Boise and so much more are all within walking distance. The inn itself is wonderful. Beautifully kept, travelers are treated to a historical delight. Exquisitely decorated, your surroundings are warm, inviting, and comfortable. My room (The Mayor's Study) had all the amenities I needed and... more

Central to state offices, restaurants. Innkeepers are well-traveled, fun and have great recommendations. Loved the wine and the fire every evening. Stay off the beaten path and enjoy your stay in Boise. more

Needed a place to stay for one night in Boise. Found them on Lonely Planet and Betty and her husband were very accommodating at very short notice. Well, one night turned into three and every one as good as the previous. Earlier posts on the Breakfast are right on the money: just fantastic! What a way to start the day! Loved the cats too, and the fireplace and the WiFi! And the wine before dinner... more

This is such a great B&B! Betty was so kind and accommodating. She took us to our room and showed us how everything worked and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was so charming, as was the atmosphere. We stayed in a beautiful room with a sun room off of the bedroom. It was great to sit in there and read. Breakfast was phenomenal! I loved the French toast with apricot syrup!... more

We traveled to Boise for a wedding. I opted for the inn because of the location and the reasonable rates. Our room was very nice, as were Craig and Betti. The breakfasts were great and so was the atmosphere. They have two cats; both were super friendly. The little black one stayed in our room for two nights at our invitation. There are cat-free lodgings available, however. Yes, the water has a strong sulfur smell,... more

While making reservations they asked us if we liked sweets for or with breakfast, we replied that neither of us did. The dollar amount was right there with the local hotels so we opted for the B&B not only for the reviews here but we have always had great experiences at all we have stayed at. When we arrived it was as expected, greeted and given a quick tour and then to the room. We... more

It is always unfortunate when on rare occasion we have a guest that is unhappy, for whatever reason. We have polled subsequent guests to determine the comfort of the bed and were assured it was fine. We try to meet the needs of all guests but we are human and do make mistakes. We are proud to have guests who have been with us regularly for over 5 years and we will continue to strive...

We (a couple in our late thirties) had a great stay at the Inn. The location is perfect -- a quiet, safe residential neighborhood that's a comfortable stroll into the heart of downtown Boise with its many restaurants & attractions. The Inn itself is elegant, charming, and full of local history. We both enjoyed the geothermal showers (the water smells mildly sulfurous, but it leaves the skin baby-soft). From the many shelves of guidebooks to... more

Situated in Boise, near to the shopping Centre and many restaurants, the Idaho Heritage B & B is a beautiful Victorian house, immaculately maintained by the owners, Graig & Betti Newborn. We only spent one night there due to time constraints but would love to have stayed longer, so impressive was the welcome we recieved, the comfort we experienced and the sumptuous Breakfast we enjoyed out in the delghtful little patio-come-garden. We can not see... more

Spent the night at the Inn following a week in McCall, Idaho. It's lovely. Well kept and the owners are delightful. They took every measure to make sure our family ( two adults and a teenage son) were happy. Great location and easy access to walk or bike to sites nearby. Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful garden setting. Everything you would expect out of a fine B&B. We highly recommend it. more
