This was our 1st trip to Boise and we stayed 6 days in the Mayor's Study. Sharon & Shawn, the hosts, were wonderful! The location was great for downtown activities and to use their bikes to ride the greenbelt along the Boise river! Shawn's breakfast as others have said are over the top!! Artistic, delicious, varied & served with style.... More

We stayed for 4 days to do some mountain biking. The location is perfect for biking from the house and for walking to downtown. The rooms are clean and the porches are perfect for evening relaxation and conversation. 5stars to Shawn for making our visit great.

My first time to Boise was great partly due to the warm and inviting Inn, Shawn and Sharon were wonderful hosts and the accommodations were excellent. The location was perfect for walking downtown to restaurants and other venues. The breakfast I was served was out of this world and much more than I should of eaten. I highly recommend this... More

One word: joyful. Want to thank Shawn and Sharon for a most amazing, joyful, and soulful experience. This is a gem. Place is awesome, food is off the hook, just perfect. Words cannot express accurately; just do it! Do not miss this experience!

As we made plans to attend our daughter's college graduation, my wife and her two sisters decided that we should make a long 4-day weekend trip so they could also spend time sharing memories of their childhood in Boise. The Idaho Heritage Inn seemed to be a good match for us, but I'll admit that I had some reservations after... More

This was a lovely step back in time to a more graceful era. The Heritage House is just that, a Grand Old Lady, she makes you ponder all she has witnessed through her long years.. If you want class and personal attention, provided by these wonderful Innkeepers, Shawn and Sharon, this is the place for you. My Sisters and myself... More

My husband and I, as well as my mother, stayed here for 2 nights recently. It is such a lovely old home and the location is great. Shawn and Sharon were so friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the front door! The other recent favorable reviews seem to say it all, and we agree!... More

I've visited the Idaho Heritage Inn through 3 changes of management, and this stay has been the best yet. Shawn and Sharon greeted us like old friends and shared some of their future plans for the B&B, including refurbishment and infrastructure improvements. Of course there will always be old-house quirks, which is part of why I like this place. The... More

My husband and I came to Boise for the first time to explore the area as a potential place to move to, and aside from their B&B being perfectly located right in the heart of the downtown area, Shawn and Sharon made our stay so welcoming that we were impressed with Boise right off the bat. We had plenty of... More

We chose Idaho Hertiage Inn because of its close proximity to a wedding we were attending. On our way there, Shawn phoned to say he was expecting us and to inquire as to when we thought we would arrive. Our room, the Mayor's Study was ready. After greeting us and acquainting us with the history of the Inn and surrounding... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Idaho Heritage Inn Bed & Breakfast is a historic home built in 1904 in Boise’s Warm Springs District and has been owned by an Idaho Governor and a Senator in the past. In 1996 the home was turned into a bed & breakfast. It has 6 rooms available for guests, a live-in Innkeeper/chef, some of the first use of geothermal plumbing in use in the United States (hot springs water comes out of the tap into your bathtub!), elegant historic decor, spacious public areas, gourmet communal breakfasts, and bicycle rentals for guest’s convenience. It is within walking distance to BSU, downtown and all Boise has to offer. The Green Belt is only ½ mile away for convenient pedestrian bicycling and walking along the Boise River and Boise’s numerous parks. ... more   less
