Pros: definitely a charming old house, full of history. The thermal water they have in the tap and shower has the distinct odor of sulfur, but it is wonderful for the skin and heals small scratches and bruises. The breakfast ist good, the rooms are nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly helpful in getting along. Cons: Usually we... More

Old rooms, not updated. Cold. No water pressure. Worst breakfast and the "manager" (no owner on site) overslept the first morning so we didn't get breakfast which might have been a blessing given that the kitchen smells like old bacon grease.

Had a great experience at the Idaho Heritage Inn. Beautiful Bed & Breakfast. The room and public spaces were wonderful. Nice backyard patio. Great staff that was very nice to visit with. The two breakfast's were delicious. Stayed two nights there with Speaker & Comedian Shayla Rivera while she was there to speak at a conference in October 2013. Would... More

Traveling couple. We loved the relaxing atmosphere at Idaho Heritage Inn. There was off street parking so no need to move your car off the street by a certain hour. The host, Thomas, was awesome….he cooked wonderful breakfasts. Thomas was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to provide restaurants and activities based on our likes/dislikes. Thomas has many... More

We just returned from a long weekend in Boise and a lovely stay at the Idaho Heritage Inn. I can't say enough good things about our visit - this B&B truly has it all: fabulous location, great food, beautiful old rooms & furniture, and gracious hosts. I'm not certain what the previous postings about smelly water and cats were about... More

Often couples that stay at a bed and breakfast look for comfort and good morning cuisine. The Idaho Heritage Inn has that and much, much more. First and foremost, the personalized welcome and services of the host and hostesses is outstanding. They really make you feel at home, to the free wine and home-baked chocolate chip cookies nightly, to the... More

A very nice B & B with all the right feelings of home. Rooms have private baths. Although our room was smallish, it was fine for two nights and the bed comfy. Breakfast was outstanding and creative and runs from 7:30-9 AM. Service in a lovely old dining room and plenty of garden seating when the weather is nice. Also,... More

Most of the charm from staying at B&B's is meeting people at breakfast or in the evening over wine. We stayed in Boise for a day and 2 nights at the Idaho Heritage Inn in the Mayor's room. The room was nice, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. Breakfast was amazing and the other guests were knowledgeable about the... More

Yes, the place was charming. If you are into antiques and charm, this is the place for you. But don't reserve the Carriage House. We arrived late and apparently the room had been shut for days. The AC was off and the room temperature was about 100. It was 90 outside. When the AC was turned on it sounded as... More

We arrived after a long day of driving to be met with a startled innkeeper who said he couldn't find our reservation. It was a very warm day, 98 degrees. We were granted a room due to sharing our confirmation. It was extremely stuffy and hot. The tabletop fan didn't work and apparently the room hadn't been prepped for guests;... More
