The Pond View Inn rooms are a great idea - conveniently located just upstairs from the restaurant in an old downtown building. They could also be really nice with some cosmetic upgrades and cleanliness standards. There are 3 rooms, with either queen or king beds. No windows, but ok for a quiet place to sleep and shower. Nice comforters/bedspreads and... More

Every time I come to Waycross I make a point to enjoy dinner at the Pond View Restaurant. It's very good and a beautiful environment. Never again will I stay at the Inn. THE GOOD - The character is precious, antique and quaint. I LOVE no windows in the rooms - incredibly quiet and easy to fall asleep. The owner... More

Stayed 2 nights here. Room was ok (but no window). Not the cleanest room - stained carpets etc. Breakfast was self service from a cupboard offering little choice (box of cereal). The breakfast bowls were never cleaned away from our first day, and still left on the table on day 2 when we arrived for breakfast (we seemed to be... More

I just stayed in the Pond View Inn and cannot say enough good things about it. First of all, I came in soaking wet, in my bicycle togs (caught in Andrea, the first storm of the hurricane season). So after a 60 mile bike ride you can imagine how I looked and felt. The owner couldn't have been more gracious.... More

I planned a trip for four couples to meet in Waycross for one of our "mystery" trips and chose the Pond View based on Trip-advisor reviews, info on the hotel website and speaking with the owner. Our group is pretty picky and we loved it. Comfy rooms, great beds, very urban restaurant in downtown Waycross. There are only four rooms... More

The food at the restaurant is unbelievably deliciouis. The staff is very friendly. Both nights we dined there the chef came out and talked to us. We gave him rave reviews. The rooms are quaint and cozy. Although off the traveled path it is well worth the experience.

Took the family to the Okefenokee last week for a few days of sight seeing and fun. I ate there a couple of years ago. This time we decided to also stay in one of their rooms upstairs. The rooms are nice, simple set up of a bed, bath, TV, and desk (free WiFi). The beds were very comfotable. We... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Pond View. We arrived on Sunday and Tad, the proprietor was waiting for us. We had booked all four rooms for business travel. The rooms are spacious, warm and cozy. Internet access is wireless. The Inn is above a restaurant which is abnormal, but it was closed during our visit. We had to... More

The Pond View may not have guest rooms but it does have amazing food. In an area filled with fried buffet food this Restuarant is a God Send. We love going here, every special event, every out of town visitor we take to the Pond View. I love the Curried Duck and their medallions just melt in your mouth. Don't... More

It is a unique kind of bed and breakfast place. We love the set-up, the privacy and quietness even though it is in downtown and above the restaurant. The restaurant is amazing... food, wine and ambiance... felt like somewhere in Europe. After a filling dinner, take a stroll in downtown. The next day, wake up with an easy breakfast (you... More
