My wife and I stayed at the Fitzpatrick on August 15th., 2014. This lovely town of Washington is fantastic for sightseeing, but the Hotel Fitzpatrick is outstanding in every respect. The ladies that work the front desk were so very friendly and helpful, and the room was just perfect (room 100). We honestly could not have hoped to find better... More

My wife and I were looking for a historic town to visit on our return trip to Louisiana from Savannah and Charleston. We had originally wanted to stay in Madison, Ga. but the desired location for our stay was booked at this time. We chose Washington as an alternative and were originally booked into another B & B which closed... More

As city dwellers, visiting the Fitzpatrick was a little bit of a shock. First, there was nobody at the front desk when we arrived, so we simply called the phone number listed and the clerk hurried over within minutes. He was very quiet, just like the hotel. That day we did spot a few souls in the nearby cafe, but... More

This is a wonderful historic hotel in a fantastic little spot. It is a beautifully restored hotel with high end amenities. The bed was top quality and also beautiful, the room had high ceilings, old hardwood floors and lots of woodwork, the doors and hardware were beautiful and the old claw foot bathtub was a real treat and has a... Beautiful restoration in an historic setting. Quaint town square. Very accommodating and friendly atmosphere. With 5 family members staying, the manager was helpful in placing us in rooms to suit our very needs.

My wife & I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and we were the ONLY guests, which made for an unusually quiet hotel - total silence and even though my wife didn't care for the ultra quiet, I actually thought it was fine. The owners allowed us access to and from at will and we had the... More

Jim, Thank you for your review. I am glad that you had a pleasant stay. You brought up a very good point that Washington is very quiet Sunday - Tuesday with many of the stores and museums closed during that time. Based on your review, I plan to update our website to reflect this so that customers coming to town... More

This hotel has been beautifully restored, but the hotel is little used. When we arrived in the morning, there was nobody in the hotel. An employee arrived by 3 pm. We were the only guests for 3 nights, and frequently were the only people in the building. The hotel has decent wireless connections. Breakfast included juice, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, fruit... More

We checked in on a Monday and were the only guests that evening. The innkeeper gave us the key to the front door and his phone number. What a wonderful time...cocktails in the garden, exploring the ballroom, a picture book depicting the history and renovation. And a very comfortable room. The morning breakfast offered a wide variety of baked goods,... More

There really is nothing to do in Washington, GA other than take a driving tour of the 100+ antebellum homes (the guide can be found at the Welcome Center). The hotel was nice but after checking into our room one of the innkeepers came up and told us we had to change rooms. We went from a roomy, spacious room... More

My husband and I spent Valentine's night in the historic hotel. We love to stay in restored propertys! Our room 307 (top floor of the tower) at The Fitzpatrick had antique furniture including the bed frame, which was beautiful, and a gas fireplace. The claw footed tub and old-fashioned plumbing was a step back in time. The service was perfect!... More
