We stayed at Cabin #22 with a group of 6 adults and 2 children. There were 4 rooms with beds in them (one with a king, a loft with 2 doubles, one with 2 doubles, and a "basement" with 1 double) there were also 4 full baths (2 with showers and 2 with tub/showers)! The entire cabin was very clean... More

Roosevelt State Park cottages are a step back to yesteryear! During Christmas 2014 our family stayed in two different cottages (we had family members meet us there) and they were rustic and wonderful. Now, if you are looking for glitz and glamour and all the latest wifi connections - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! If you are looking for a... More

Great little cottage to get away for the weekend. Rocking chairs on the screened in porch and situated away from the other cottages. Lots of trails and activities to keep you busy in the park and the nearby area.

We are avid campers and we have been to many campgrounds. We love FDR because it is clean and quiet. The camp sites are spacious and the facilities are literally cleaned every hour. They also have a camp store on sight that you can purchase wood and other camp items. They offer a discount coupon for the Wild Animal Safari... More

Our family stayed in Cabin 12 for 5 nights in mid-December 2012. We found the park delightful and well kept. Also, during the week of our stay the place was very quiet. Cabin: Our cabin had 2 bedrooms with a queen bed and twin bed in each room. The bedrooms had some wire shelving, an area to hang clothes, a... More

We really enjoyed being on a lake and having the ability to have an outdoor fire. The cottage was clean (except under the bed) and spacious. Plenty of room between cottages and didn't feel crowded or congested. I would love to return and bring friends. I would bring more food and stay longer than two days if possible. Not much... More

Great views. But ours was missing necessities like hotpads and blankets. There was only an electric fry pan. To be sure you're comfy, just bring it all. We happened to bring blankets along, so we got by ok. But once those items were behind us, it was a great stay.

FDR State Park is peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in cabin #7, a log cabin with stone foundation built by the CCC as part of The New Deal. It was two bedroom, one bath cabin with a large living/dining area and very small full kitchen. The floors were wood in the living room and bedrooms. Both bedrooms had a full... More
