My fiance and I recently stayed two nights at this hotel for a quick Tybee getaway. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money on accomodations; just something clean and close to the beach! The Royal Palm Motel perfectly fit our needs. It's an older, family run motel with small rooms - the man I spoke to on the... More

We reserved a room that could accommodate a couple and two older children. It was important to get 3 beds. The room we got did have three beds, in two separate rooms. The first room had two twin beds, a table, couch, small fridge and microwave. The other room had a queen bed and the only bathroom and air conditioning... More

My son was stationed at Fort Stewart for 3 1/2 years. I have been to Tybee a lot!! I have only stayed at one other motel besides Royal Palm. I just stayed at Royal Palm Mother's Day week for 5 nites. I have stayed there at least 5 times & this was my longest stay I don't require an ocean... More

This hotel was clean and affordable. The pool was bigger than the others I saw while walking, and it was also clean. We always like to stay at the smaller family owned hotels, and this met our needs. Plenty of space, and parking was right in front of the room.

I go to Tybee Island for fun and relaxation 2 or 3 times a year, and I always stay at the Royal Palm. The staff is always friendly and the rooms, while very basic, are always clean and comfortable. The motel pool is great, and it's only a one-block walk to the beach. I've recommended the Royal Palm to many... More

My family makes a game out of seeking SAFE and inexpensive places to stay. We're just looking for a place to sleep after we've been out enjoying the sights. We've stayed at the Royal Palm 5 or 6 times. It is very inexpensive, bare bones and quite dated but clean. It's our 1st choice when we're staying at Tybee.

Motel is older but was recommended by friends. Since I was traveling alone, I liked the idea of a smaller motel. Visiting Tybee the beginning of October was perfect. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Pool was clean. Beach only a block away. Although there is no night staff, I still felt... More

Chose this for the price and for the price it was acceptable. As you can see the room has a TV, microwave and small fridge. There is a pool which looked clean though I didn't swim in it. The beach is a block away. The downtown area is a ways away. Not much immediately around the motel except a couple... More

The hotel is a small older mom and pop place. The room was clean, water was hot, the staff was very pleasant and friendly. When we come to Tybee were out and about and just want a place thats clean, quiet, has good water pressure for showing and the friendly staff is a great added bonus. We will definitely come... More

it is a good place to sleep. Clean. Pool is nice. They are a block away from the beach. Staff was very nice. It is very economical. We went during Labor day weekend, and they were the only place with vacancy.
