I like staying in unique places. The best ones are family owned and they treat you like family. We stayed here for NewYears and really enjoyed it. It had parking right at door. It was cheap, nice and not a bad location to access the island.

First of all let me say that the people who ran the place were SUPER NICE people and very helpful. Was not surprised by the room because had read the reviews and they are all pretty much spot on. Small parking lot, clean pool, dirty chairs in sitting area outside rooms which you had to use if you wanted wifi.... More

I called because we were going to be staying just 1 night on Tybee and needed a room. The front desk clerk stated they only do 2 night minimum reservations but they had PLENTY of openings and to come on by. When we arrived we were greeted by a "No vacancy" sign. I highly doubt all the rooms sold out... More

I'll just start off by saying I like the mom and pop places. My understanding is that this has been in the same family since it was built in whatever year. The bed was extremely comfortable which, to me, is very important. The staff and the owners were very friendly and very accommodating. Not fancy and no frills but very... More

If you are looking for a good, clean budget motel on Tybee Island, this is the place. The room may be small but it is clean and comfortable. The staff are most welcoming. The double bed was comfortable and the air conditioner although an older model worked well. The motel has a good sized pool and is only one block... More

My fiance and I recently stayed two nights at this hotel for a quick Tybee getaway. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money on accomodations; just something clean and close to the beach! The Royal Palm Motel perfectly fit our needs. It's an older, family run motel with small rooms - the man I spoke to on the... More

We reserved a room that could accommodate a couple and two older children. It was important to get 3 beds. The room we got did have three beds, in two separate rooms. The first room had two twin beds, a table, couch, small fridge and microwave. The other room had a queen bed and the only bathroom and air conditioning... More

My son was stationed at Fort Stewart for 3 1/2 years. I have been to Tybee a lot!! I have only stayed at one other motel besides Royal Palm. I just stayed at Royal Palm Mother's Day week for 5 nites. I have stayed there at least 5 times & this was my longest stay I don't require an ocean... More

This hotel was clean and affordable. The pool was bigger than the others I saw while walking, and it was also clean. We always like to stay at the smaller family owned hotels, and this met our needs. Plenty of space, and parking was right in front of the room.
