I've been to Savannah over the past three consecutive years. I've stayed at the Desoto Beach Hotel on Tybee Island, a truly friendly and clean hotel. Prompt check in service, clean rooms, continental breakfast, friendly staff, and up-to-date amenities. Great stay for families.

Bungalows are located close to the Pavilion and Pier. A few blocks off the beach, but within walking distance. If you have kids and have a large load to go to the beach, you might consider bringing a foldable wagon. The fully loaded kitchen had all of the pots, pans and cooking utensils needed. Just like home! The two bedrooms... More

I believe in stating "just the facts", it's always easier to sift thru a review that way. My husband and I arrived in Tybee for a few days R & R. We've been coming to Tybee/Savannah for many years; this was our second time staying at the Desoto Beach Hotel. We arrived around 2:00; our room was ready and very... More

Our room and bathroom were small but contained everything that you find in larger rooms...two queen beds, closet with safe, desk/table, small microwave, and refrigerator. The room and linens were very clean and fresh smelling (no moldy beach odors). The hotel is right on the beach and there is a small pool. Our 9 year old grandsons loved being close... More

$250 a night and a dirty room, gross toenail in my bed, and staff that don't give a care. Please see attached pics and details of a crappy stay!! We arrived on a Friday for a relaxing weekend only to be next to a room with a serious domestic violence issue. After the 4th call to the front desk asking... More

Thank You for your Comments, we seriously apologize for your inconveniences, as this was done when we spoke, and I am very surprised to see this review being that you called me an hour later apologizing to me saying that you may have miss understood what was said! Great beach hotel. This is our 3 rd time staying at Desoto Beach Resort. Rooms are nice . If you are a non smoker be sure to ask for a room away from the corners where they recently added cigarette butt receptacles . Rooms are clean when you check in but you may have to ask if you want them... More

We stayed at Tybee Island Ga. for a weekend in July. This hotel is on the north beach and therefore a little quieter and child-friendly compared to the south beach area. The rooms, pool, and beach area were very clean. If you want ocean view, be sure to request it. The beach is extremely wide and the water is shallow... More

After 2 days in Savannah we needed to rest and relax. We arrived at 11 am and were able to get in our room. Room was clean and modern. We rented chairs and umbrella and hit the beach. It was a pleasant experience.

My family and I visited Tybee Island and Savannah. Nice place to visit not a lot to see. Kinda small but nice. Be sure to visit Fort Pulaski! A must see! The hotel was nice and location to the beach was excellent! The staff were friendly. We will visit again.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on Tybee Island and Savannah. While in Georgia, we stayed at the Desoto Beach Hotel on Tybee Island. We paid extra for a room with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. The room was nice, clean, but nothing fancy and had a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The continental breakfast...
