My girlfriend and I wanted to go to the beach for our one year anniversary. We decided on Tybee as we had never been there before and also wanted to be close to a historic city. Helen was very responsive throughout the process and recommended a room with a private porch. During our drive in, I received a call from... More

The room was clean and well deorated. It is an older building that shows its age, which adds to the charm of the place. As long as your looking for a nice, quirky, small place to stay that is within walking distance to the beach then this is a great place to stay. Also, keep in mind that the inn... More

Quaint, B&B feel without the breakfast, which is perfect, as we never manage to make it to breakfast anyway! Great location, right by the beach, and 1 block from the main street of food, souvenir shops, and pier. The place was quiet. We arrived early, afraid we’d have to kill time before checking in, but our key and instructions were... More

Family was spending weekend in Savannah for college graduation. We decided we wanted to stay on Tybee. If you're wanting to be close to the beach, this is the place for you. Only about half a block to beach and another block to restaurants. We picked this place because it was the cheapest we could find on the island -... More

This could be a cute little inn IF the room didn't reek of mildew, IF the kitchen and bathroom cabinets weren't filthy, IF the holes in the ceiling of the bedroom and shower were repaired, IF the mold was removed from the shower, IF the AC filter was ever changed and the AC grill cleaned, IF the whole room were... we reserved #4 Opalscene for our 25th wedding anniversary....we were promised a quiet quaint room with an ocean view....actually the owner "Helen" said our room was across the street from the beach....we reserved 3 nights with a no refund policy if canceled but she would give us another date to stay in exchange if an unforeseen event happened and we... This inn has a faded, rustic charm which appealled to us. It was nice and quiet and well located, just minutes from the beach and bars etc. We liked having equipment to cook simple lunches and breakfasts-everything worked and all items were provided. The bathroom was fine and everything was clean. The room is small but adequate. Choose your room... More

The good...Great location, easy walk to beach, stores and restaurants. Cute place, small bedroom, small bathroom with shower, compact kitchen area. Plenty of hot water for showers. Free on street parking with site provided pass. Stayed in #6 with small screened patio. The bad...place is dated but adds to charm. Refig not working, A/C blowing tepid air even when set... More

Our favorite part of visiting the south was staying at this earthy inn and going to the fabulous beach. The bedroom/living space was not fancy but it worked. The kitchen was adequate. The porch was great for sipping our coffee or having a beer. We cooked fresh seafood and ate in the patio area. Nothing amazing but in the end... More

My husband and I stayed in the two bedroom condo. We enjoyed all the amenities this condo offers! We loved the views from both the front porch, with the swing, as well as the views from opening up the bedroom door and enjoying the ocean views from this vantage point! This condo has a nice open floor plan. With the... More
