My husband and I spent the Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend on Tybee Island at this hotel. We were given a room with two queen beds since all the king rooms were booked. Actually the entire hotel was at full capacity that weekend. The room, as well as the entire hotel, was very clean although rather old inside.. The outside of... more

My wife and I stayed at the HOJO Admiral's INN at the beginning of December for an extended weekend vacation. I wanted to stay near the beach and be close to, but not in Savannah. We arrived late Friday night after a drive from Jacksonville airport. The staff was friendly and apologized for the fact that the hotel was in... more

Nice looking exterior, and the room is about average--- clean, but beds were getting worn and small windows gave me a bit of a closed in feeling. The hallways are narrow and dark, and the overall ambience reminds me of college dorms from 30 years ago. The breakfast was better than average, and the hotel staff was most considerate. The... more

I already had a reservation and it took me an hour to check in. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds that I have ever slept in. They tried to charge me for the safe. It is an automatic charge and you have to tell them that you did not use it to get a credit. Rooms do not have... more

We just returned from Tybee Island. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay than Howard Johnsons. Our room was spotless. And the hotel was in walking distance of the beach and good places to eat. The morning breakfast was great. No need to go anyplace else in the AM. The front desk people we met (Evelyn, Joey and... more

My husband and I stayed at this HoJo's for the entire weekend. We were in Tybee to celebrate a friends birthday. We drove down on Friday afternoon and stayed through Sunday. The room was small, but clean (we had a king jacuzzi suite)and the towels were huge and fluffy. The"jacuzzi" was just a regular bathtub with jets, we were a... more

After researching all available hotels on Tybee, none of which sounded appealing, my husband and I actually booked a room in Savannah. We changed to the Howard Johnson Tybee at the last minute b/c we did'nt want to drive back to Savannah after our friend's wedding on the beach. Big mistake. Howard Johnson was very old and outdated. The only... more

Went to Tybee this past weekend for a friend's wedding. A couple of friends and I decided to stay the night since it was a 6 hour drive back home. We went with the Howard Johnson because it was in walking distance to the wedding. Big mistake...it was gross. I'm talking dirty, smelly, and dark. Definitely not worth the $215... more

The staff at this hotel was very friendly. The room was clean and well stocked. It was right across the street from the beach, and close to a few popular island restaurants (and a great ice cream shop). I would recommend it to anyone looking to be close to the beach for a bargain! more

We stayed at the Howard Johnson admiral for two days and had a great time. The room was very clean. The bathroom was spotless. It was great to just walk out of hotel room and walk across the street to the beach. Great restraunt for breakfast across the street. Nothing fancy, but breakfast was very good. Have to get there... more
