Scenic, safe level big rig sites in loops c and F for full hookup. Quiet, serene, peaceful in campground. In park plenty to do and see. Seasonal activities only on weekends now thru Christmas. Golf, museum, general store, and sky ride to top of mountain if u desire.

I came to Stone Mountain as a kid, and I never knew it had a campground. I had a long weekend from work, and my wife and I were looking for a place to camp and get away from Panama City. We wanted some scenery and something different, and we found Stone Mountain Campground. We had a great time! My... More

The campground is clean, sites are quite close together. We are staying in premium sites ( ours is 159 with a view of the lake) and that does get you full hook-ups and cable tv but the wifi is horrid. Ping download is .31. I realize I need to take responsibility for wifi(upgrading to 4G) and give up on campgrounds... More

Great camp ground. The sites are nice and clean. Showers are clean. Park Police patrol regularly. They have campside trash pickup everymorning. Lots of activites all day long. Well worth the price. Lots to do if you like the outdoors. kayaking, canoeing, hiking, golf.

A girlfriend and I took a total of 3 kids to this campground for a very rainy 2 night camping trip (in a tent). The campground was clean. Every site had a grill and a picnic table and water and electricity. I believe this is considered non-primitive camping. The tent location was on rocks so I'm glad I had a... More

Loved my spot! Shady and wonderful view! Sad I was only there a night. Will go back! It's like wilderness hidden in the middle of a city! Check in is very thorough and helpful! We just didn't like how crowded it was in the park, but the cg was awesome.

We love this campground - there is so much to do and you can camp right on the lake! The views are so beautiful and peaceful. We stopped at a state park on the way up and the bugs were so bad you could not even go outside the RV. I don't know if they spray at Stone Mountain or... More

We camped 2 nights in the primitive camping area but our spot had electricity and water (#27). The views of the lake are beautiful and if we go back we have an idea of the area we'd rather stay in. While it was nice to be further from the rv area, our first night we had to listen to the... More

Everyone there was wonderful. It was a clean fun good time for the family. Stone mountain is a great place to take the family for 2 or 3 days. Constant fun if the weather is permitting. We are definitely going back in the fall. We really loved the train trip around the property.
