We made arrangements for a non-smoking room to attend nursing school orientation at Georgia Southern with our daughter. We checked in and went up to the room--only to discover that it was a smoking room and that the air conditioner was not working. Needless to stay, Statesboro, GA is not a pleasant place in August with no AC!! The room... More

We checked in at 9 PM after settling our daughter in at college, GSU. Just entering the hotel lobby, we were met with a very stale odor. the hotel is now listed as non-smoking, but upon entering our room (room 201), my husband and I were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes and mildew. I also notice that the carpet... More

Need I say more? Walked into the room and saw a dead roach in front of the mini-fridge. My son then informed me that he saw one on the elevator as well. The staff was apologetic and offered an explanation that roaches are common in south Georgia - Not at the Baymont, Hampton or Spring Hill Suites that I have... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very interesting experience. We were originally placed in a room outside the elevators and was constantly awakened due to guest traffic and noise. We requested a room change and informed the clerk that we would be back later in the day. The clerk provided us the number of... More

On April 7, 2008, we checked in later in the evening. After standing in line for several minutes while the front desk tried to correct an error they had made on another individuals reservation, I was finally able to check in. We go out keys and proceeded to our room. When we opened the door, the overwhelming odor of mold... More

We have gone specifically into this room and taken care of all issues stated above. We have recently had our rooms steam cleaned and deep cleaned. More

Room had soaked carpet due to AC leak and the room above leaked causing ceiling to fall apart as well as rotted baseboard. #322, #222 both have dangerous mildew. Also noticed many dangerous hazards thru out. Would not put a homeless man here!

Both of these rooms have been taken care of by our maintenance staff. There was a minor issue with the A/C but it has been resolved. More

Our property does undergo regular pest control services. I would like to apologize for any unprofessional behavior that may have been experienced due to our staff as this is not the level of hospitality we expect from them. More

My husband and I were traveling through Statesboro, which by the way is a nice town with tons of eating establishments, and had booked a reservation with LQ for New Years Eve. The hotel is nice an tastefully decorated and everything seemed fine except the toilet had a grey ring at the waterline. I know for a fact if were... More

I expected it to be a little nicer. This La Quinta was not like my previous experience in Stockbridge, GA, which was very nice. The bed was not very comfortable and the drain in the tub was very slow. The pool/whirlpool closed too early, so we were not able to use it. On a positive note, the breakfast was nice... More

Statesboro is a lovely town in the Georgia countryside. It's growing but still "homey ". The La Quinta Inn was clean, the room was spacious and had all the amenities needed, and the staff was most helpful in recommending a nearby restaurant for dinner, and that didn't disappoint us either.
