Stayed here for business and it was a pleasant surprise! Yes the place is a bit old, but it was clean and modern (free internet, unlike other big hotel chains). Plus, the old furniture is what gave its charm! Everyone was very nice and the chef cooked decent breakfasts. Yes there are cats, but they are outdoors and do not... more

I have stayed at The Historic Statesboro Inn & Restaurant 3 times. The first was when the former owner still was the Innkeeper. It was pleasant, but did not exceed my expectations. My husband and I were guests in June 2008 and again in July 2008. The new Innkeeper has repainted, recarpeted, purchased all new mattresses and daybeds, etc. I was... more

We stayed at the Inn for 3 days and fell in love with it. Every room is tastefully decorated with lovely antiques. The beds were so comfortable that we asked the innkeeper who made them so we can buy one for our home. There were fresh baked cookies in the entryway all the time. The Sunday brunch was excellent and... more

This B and B was not clean, there were fleas everywhere from the cats and also rodents. I was bitten by fleas when I was there and couldn't wait to leave. The staff means well, but they never compensated me or gave me a discount for being attacked by fleas from their outdoor cats. more

This was a business trip for my husband and pleasure for me. I was a little worried about some of the reviews I had seen for this Inn. I will not worry again if he has to make another trip to Statesboro this is where I would prefer to stay. The room was comfortable without being to fussy you felt... more

The Statesboro Inn was the absolute worst b & b experience we have ever had. The place is crawling with countless cats and cat hair everywhere--in the bed, on the floor, on all the furniture, in the bathroom, etc. The room was dirty--dirty rugs, dusty, and stains everywhere coupled with the fact that the rooms and building stink. The owners... more

We stayed at the Statesboro Inn when I interviewed for a job in Statesboro and then again for a second look and eventually to house hunt. It is truly family-owned and family-run. If you want to feel like you are staying with long-lost relatives, this is the place for you. We were offered a ride to the autoparts store when... more

Really enjoyed my stay here. The Home atmosphere really appealed to me. Things I liked best: many books around so I could read myself to sleep at night with a bright reading lamp!; so many real antiques; the real "Old South" atmosphere; the pleasant, friendly staff; the food; many public places to just sit and relax! I would highly recommend... more

I attenede an event at the Statesboro Inn, the service was very bad. The staff is not equipt for large crowds. Food was cold, forgot to get our drinks and ran out of desserts. I would not book this Inn for special events. I also attended a reception there and the service was bad at that time also. more

I stayed at the Statesboro Inn, a few months ago. It smelled horrible as well when I stayed there. The staff and owners were very, very rude. I saw the cats on the counters as well. It makes my stomach churn just thinking of it now. We were there for relaxation, but there were two girls running around constantly being... more
