Myself and my husband had a child free new year, which we haven't had for years, so we decided to jump in the car and find a village pub anywhere for new years eve. We ended up in Cropredy, somewhere we'd never been to, let alone even heard of. We arrived here and took and instant liking to this place... More

I decided to stay here as a pit stop on the way to Southampton. I still wanted to find a nice place although it was just for one night. What i discovered was a beautifully romantic gem of a B&B. The village is quiet and idyllic and after 20minutes of travelling through countryside is well hidden from any hustle and... More

Recently "enjoyed" a meal with friends in the Brasenose Arms. A big part of our choice was the real ales they offered but on arrival and after queuing for 15 mins at the bar, one beer was off, anther wasn't available because of a problem with the pump leaving a choice of one. The barman was on his own and... More

This is an old inn in which I would normally expect things not to resemble a Premier or Mercure hotel. However, I was taken aback by the poor quality here. I booked a double room for one night at £70.00. We were given a three bed room which normally would not be a problem but in this case, the furniture... More

Stayed one weekday night. Room definitely needed some TLC as basically clean but could have done with a spring clean. Food was good in the restaurant and staff very friendly; however service was quiet slow. Cooked breakfast the following morning was well cooked. Would have preferred a wider choice of cereals / yoghurt / jams, but fine for a one... More

Very disappointing, we bought some Australian friends & so embarrassed. Not very appealing , very cramped, walls so thin you could hear everything in adjoining rooms. Cheap furniture, grim carpets & curtains. Pillows like rocks & smelt musty. Not particularly clean. Garden & outside eating area mucky. Altogether a miserable experience very overpriced at £70.

Stayed for 3 nights while on business in Banbury which is a short 10 minute drive away. My colleagues stayed in Banbury, paid more than twice what I did and had pokey rooms and rubbish food. My experience was totally different. It's a small country pub with half a dozen rooms and has Very recently (August 2014) been taken over... More

Excellent value for money. The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well presented. The bar had a male voice choir rehearsing which was a delight. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
