Myself & my husband stayed here for one night as we were passing through the area. We were on a whistle stop tour around the UK, this was by far the worst place we stayed & the most expensive place we paid for. We were in room 3, upstairs at the the end of the corridor. The corridor is really... More

What a great find, a friend recommended this pub and he was right it's excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service in the restaurant was very good as was the food. Breakfast was spot on lots to choose from. There is live music on Saturdays so if you want a quite break go mid week. The village is lovely and... More

Last Friday, whilst my boyfriend Russell and I were in the midst of our canal adventure, we decided to moor up in Cropredy and we were recommended the Brasenose Arms by boaters we passed by. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Charlie behind the bar was such a nice guy and very welcoming. I really recommend... More

I booked two rooms directly and was given the room no's..1 and 5. I asked for confirmation via email which did not arrive. I rang again and was assured that one would be sent. Nothing arrived and felt slightly uneasy but hoped all would be OK. Yes, you've guessed it...no booking on a Saturday afternoon. Just a shrug of the... More

Saturday 17/07/15, 2 people were shopping in Aldi Banbury - filling the trolley / bulk buying bread, spices, rice, fruits, vegetables etc. One of them was wearing a T-shirt advertising the Brasenose, the other giving orders ????

Brasenose Arms The best 1600’s inn attached to a restaurant. It only has 8 rooms with a lovely outside yard with seating. The entire village was in attendance the Saturday night we stayed. An 80’s Rock and Blues cover band was playing in the Pub. Lovely staff and would definitely return.

This pub could be excellent if more attention was paid to the housekeeping.Set in a picture postcard village the setting is excellent. On arrival shown to our ground floor room at the back of the pub.and first impressions were very good.On closer inspection found the room was only cosmetically clean. Old ladies sanitary towel found in waste bin in toilet. Crumbs... More

Stayed here for one night last month. The team were extremely welcoming. Dinner was superb, honestly one of the best fillet steaks I have ever had.... rooms was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was also great. Had a very genuine and warm 'family' feel about the place. Also there was a very interesting deli stall, very unique, with... More
