As the previous guests indicated, this place is amazing. The grounds are kept to a very high standard....gardners working around the clock to make sure the place is beautiful. Even with all of the construction of new buildings, it never felt like you were in a construction zone. The entire staff have been wonderfully trained and go out of their... More

This is a fabulous resort catering to families. We have stayed at the Cloister for many years. The property is unbelievable...beauty and care in the gardens, furnishings and buildings. Posh linens on the beds and wonderful service. The staff is very polite and well trained. My kids loved the library. The new beach club is beautiful...but a little crowded. The... More

Our family of nine stayed the entire week of Thanksgiving at The Cloister in the River View Suites and the Ocean House rooms. The River View suites are brand new and the most luxurious rooms on property. They have a living room, bedroom, bathroom and many closets. There is a butler provided for your suite during your stay and they... More

This is an amazing resort! Our room in the cloisters was beautiful, well appointed and extremely comfortable. All of the employees were wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable, when they didn't have answers they didn't hestitate to find them. The food in each of the restaurants we dined in was great and varied from casual to fine dining. Dinner at Colt... More

This is a great resort for families. We stayed in an Ocean House, which is away from the main hotel, but closer to the beach. The hotel provided transportation (Range Rovers, golf carts) between the main hotel, the Ocean House, and the Beach Club. This was great, since walking around the property with a 2-year old would have been a... More

How anyone could complain about Sea Island, the Cloister, the Beach Club, the Lodge, or anything else on Sea Island is beyond me. We were here for my sister's wedding and it was amazing. Melissa (wedding coordinator) was a lovely person and was always on hand to help us with everything. Our family had to plan most of the wedding... More

We booked though WhataHotel.com We got a GREAT rate. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful and awesome this hotel is. The weather was nice during the day, cold at night but perfect to sit by the fireplace with a glass of wine. The new beach club is amazing. The food (no matter where you choose to eat)... More

This is probably the most luxurious place that I have ever been to. I could write a book about how great our stay was. Rather than a novel, I will say this, It's expensive, but rest assured that your money will be well spent. The service, amenities, food, and activities are among the best in the world. One example, complimentary... More

We visited the Cloister in late September 2007. While it was expensive, I felt that overall, it was very much worth the price paid. We had booked an $800 room and when we were ushered into the suite where the Prime Minister of Japan stayed during the G8 conference, I actually wondered if we had been upgraded or if they... More

The new and improved Cloister is outstanding! The new spa and fitness areas are wonderful and the new Beach Club is just as great. This was our third visit to Sea Island but the first since the renovations were completed. Wow, its even better than before. Expensive but well worth it!
