I cannot say enough about this wonderful hotel. The rooms are huge, beautifully furnished and they have thought of every way to make you comfortable. The facilities at this resort are outstanding. The spa is gorgeous, the beach club is great, the lodge at the golf course is fabulous. If you are a golfer, this is the place for you.... More

This property is a five star resort in almost every respect. It is old world elegant with all the ameneties you would expect from a five star property. The rooms are extremely roomy and well appointed. That having been said, this resort is so expensive, in virtually every respect, that it could never be deemed a value. $750/night for a... More

My daughter and I took a 4 day vacation break at the Cloister to unstress and relax. This is the perfect place for that. The property is gorgeous inside and out. The service impeccable, staff extremely friendly and helpful. We scheduled a room at the Beach Club as we both enjoy the ocean environment. We were upgraded to a suite... More

It has been 14 years since my last visit, so it seemed weird that the entire resort has been rebuilt. The property is still gorgeous, and they have retained the old southern charm - we had a great time! The welcoming happy hour was a very nice addition. Our room was beautiful in the beach club but the services there... More

This was the second year in a row that we traveled to the Cloister. It was wonderful as always but some changes to economize were noticible. No longer are there butlers for each room--only the Cloister building. 100 Hudson is now serving a buffet breakfast --which was lovely but there was really not much of an alternative. The hotel was... More

This is a dream hotel. The decor is just wonderful. There is nothing cheap about this place. Everything is of the very best. It is gorgeous and the service is wonderful. I felt like a Queen for the 6 days I spend there with my daughter's family. Wonderful for children, and the grandmother too. The setting is just breathtaking. I... More

Just to set the scene, my husband and two young children (4 and 6) travelled to sea island for a family reunion and his mom's 80th birthday. We were a group of 19 ranging in age from 4 to 80 with a big chunk in the their 20s. The resort was wonderful for meeting the needs of such a wide... More

When my family drove up the hotel to check in we were blown away with the grounds and landscaping. The staff greeted us with very warm smiles. After we checked in we followed the man in the golfcart to our ocean front beach suite. As soon as we opened the door to this huge suite (313 & 315) we definitely... More

We went here for an adult weekend away...perfect for that. Beautiful new facility that harkens back to the original building. Nothing is overlooked. The staff is helpful and happy. The food is 5 diamond quality. There is always someting to do or a place to get away from doing anything! The activities/Beach club are perfect. But all this paradise is... More

As nice as this hotel is, I still had to knock a point off for our beach experience and overall value for our weekend trip. While our expectations were high due to the price and multitude of travel awards garnered, my husband and I are both familiar with the old Sea Island, having visited many times in our youth. Upon...
