This is a one of a kind experience. The level of service is unmatched by anywhere I've ever stayed. The rooms are huge and well appointed, with a waterfall shower to die for. All the restaurants are top notch. You'll feel like you've come to stay at a friend's home where you can do everything or nothing at all.

This is a "first cabin" establishment from start to finish. The rooms are lovely, featuring wonderfully sophisticated linens and baths, and the staff is welcoming and helpful. The main building features three restaurants, each unique and supremely satisfying. And the "resort" offers a wide range of family activities, ranging from swimming, golf and sea kayaking... to clay pigeon shooting... to... More

This hotel has won many awards and well lives up to it's reputation. The staff bends over backward to satisfy your every need. By using AMEX's Fine Hotels and Resorts benefit I was given an upgrade to a River View Suite, breakfast daily included and a fruit basket as a resort amenity. The concierge sent a bottle of wine as... More

My husband and I shared a wonderful weekend here celebrating our 50th anniversary, and it was perfect in every aspect! This is a wonderful property, inside and out. This weeknd reminded me of being in a large counrty estate, where the hosts have been awaiting your arrival. It was wonderful, and we will return!

My wife took me to Sea Island for my birthday and the service is really second to none. Golf courses are great, restaurants were excellent, spa is really nice. My only complaint and it's not so much a complaint considering we anticipated spending a lot of money is that everything is expensive. For example, a 90 minute massage is $290... More

We needed a place to stop en route to Orlando. Being the off season, I thought we could try the Cloister at a reasonable rate to see if it was worth splurging for in season. It is. We checked in around 9pm & since we were checking out the next morning the guy at the desk was amazing & upgraded... More

Totally relaxing....excellent facilities and staff. Perfect setting, great accomodations. 3 golf courses, great tennis and biking. Beach club has fabulous pools and good beach...not the gulf but overall fantastic! I travel to The Cloister at least once a year. One of my favorite resorts in America! Never want to leave this resort!

I've never written a review like this, but I'm so appalled by my experience that I felt compelled to do so. Bottom lime is the accommodations and atmosphere are stellar. BUT a simple over billing matter of $300 has taken more than 6 mos to resolve - It's still not resolved. They are quick to bill your CC daily so... More

If you are seeking a quiet place to relax and unwind, The Cloister is definately the resort for you... I see why the logo on Sea Island is "Shhhhh". It offers many amenities and outdoor activities -- golf, beach, pools, fishing, kayaking, etc. While visiting during February, I noticed many people fishing off the pier riverside, swimming in the heated... Second year in a row to celebrate our anniversary and this year, Valentines as well. This year we stayed in the main hotel instead of the condos where we stayed last year. We loved being in the main building closer to the spa, amenities and restaurants. There were warm fires burning in all of the lounging rooms / lobby which... More
