Hospitality is what distinguishes a great place from a good one. And the Cloister at Sea Island oozes hospitality and charm in addition to the exceptional facilities. No request was too small or too big for them to handle. The staff was always cheerful. And the food delightful. The room spacious and very comfortable. Enjoyed every minute of the stay.... More

This resort has everything. It is located on a beautiful Atlantic beach, with 3 pools overlooking the beach. Most families with children stay in rooms near the Beach Club. We stayed in the magnificent hotel called the Cloister, which is within walking or biking distance of the Beach Club. A 3rd option is the Lodge which is about a 15... More

Not many get to stay at a property that has had such an illustrious history. Having hosted many president's (and the Presidential Oaks planted by many of them) as well as the G8 Summit really gives this property a cache that few properties enjoy. Amazing location about 1 hour from Jacksonville, FL, and nestled between the Atlantic on the East... More

My wife and I stayed at Sea Island over the 2014 Labor day weekend - 4 days. Every employee, every venue - from the coffee shop to the finest restruant, every pool, etc. etc. was top notch customer service. I am self employed and buildt a business around customer service. The best compliment I can share is that I brought... More

I stayed at The Cloister for a business conference for three nights, and my husband joined me afterwards where we stayed for two nights in a room overlooking the pool and beach at the BeachClub. The Cloister was the more elegant place to stay. My room was beautifully appointed and had a wall of sunny windows that overlooked the Black... More

I attended a conference at the Cloister last week and was so impressed the unique experience there. I would actually be happy to stay in any room there. The grounds are well manicured and park like so it is a pleasure to stroll through them. Nestled between the black banks river and the ocean, the queen Cloister sits effortlessly there.... More

It took years for the opportunity to arise to come to the Cloister so we seized on the opportunity when it arose. Great meals, service, room, grounds, architecture, shooting school. We loved every part of our visit and once again thanks to OBAMA for our tax deduction since I attended a conference at the Cloister. The only thing better than... More

You will either like it or not. This probably being one of the most difficult reviews for me to write due to several factors. First of all, let's begin with the good. The overall appearance of the Cloister is magnificent. The personnel are exceptional and abundant to assist with your needs and provides a sense of extreme luxury. I could... More

My family and I have been to Sea Island each of the last three summers, moving from a 5, to a 6, and finally to a 7 day stay, as we tried to spend as much time there as possible. We absolutely loved out time at Sea Island throughout our first two stays. Each year we stayed at the beach... More

We think a trip to the Cloister is going to be our new family tradition. What a place! The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, the grounds impeccable, fantastic restaurants, especially the Georgian room for breakfast, and southern hospitality and charm everywhere you go. Sea Island is paradise for kids! Can't wait to back.
