This hotel has everything! I spent christmas and new years at the hotel. I don' t think I will ever want to by anywhere else for the holidays. The hotel was decorated beautifully, as well as the landscaping. The hotel's planned activities including dinners, spa, fitness center, fireworks and numerous holiday celebrations kept us busy the entire time. New years... More

The Cloister is a fantastic experience. I've been going to The Cloister for nearly 20 years now, and while this resort has gone through considerable changes, every time I go three things remain consistent: 1) Excellent customer service-arguably among the best you will receive anywhere 2) Delectable buffets and cornbread 3) Luxurious and large rooms There isn't much left to... We recently returned from Sea Island, having spent Christmas and New Years there with the whole family. I've heard so many great things about Sea Island over the years but had never had the chance to visit, but will most certainly be returning soon. It is the best resort experience in the United States; with outstanding activities, world class service,... More

This is a wonderful place for families. You will never be bored. There is every type of indoor/outdoor activity for adults and children, from the pool, golf, fishing, horseback riding and shooting, to even a movie theater. The restaurants are good, too, and the staff was very professional.

I have heard about The Cloister at Sea Island for many years and frankly, was expecting to be let down by my own high expectations once I finally got to visit. However, it lived up to my expectations and then some. I was there for a business meeting, and I only wish that I could have stayed longer to experience... More

One of the most relaxing hotels I ever visited. The staff are attentive and extremely friendly ( not simply looking for a tip). The rooms are sumptuous - we had a 1 bedroom in the Cloister itself. The gym is magnificent. The entire property rivals the nicest destinations across the country (e.g. Enchantment, Miraval, Canyon Ranch, La Quinta). We plan... More

My wife and I stayed here for our 13th wedding anniversary. With my work schedule, we had only a few days off around New Year's and our anniversary to celebrate. Trying to escape the cold to somewhere warm, we didn't have time to travel to some warmer destinations such as the Caribbean. Fortunately, I found the Cloister at Sea Island... More

We spent our Christmas holiday at The Cloister this year--had been there years before and had good memories. We stayed in the main building this time instead of at the beach. The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service impeccable. We also really enjoyed the special music played in the lobby and restaurants. The renovation of this... More

A five star hotel needs to welcome their guests properly.Sorry Cloisters, but your front gate security as well as front desk reception ruined our trip. They were simply unacceptable, rude and unhelpful.I will never be back when there are so many equally nice resorts with well mannered staff.

I am so sorry to hear that your interactions with our gate and front desk team members negatively impacted your experience with us. I have shared your comments with the team leaders of these areas and sincerely hope you will give us another chance to display the gracious hospitality for which we are known. More

We recently stayed at the Cloister to visit with family. The hotel is gorgeous and each main public room in the lobby level floor had a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree. The restaurants are excellent and the service is also excellent. The staff at the hotel are professional and courteous. It is refreshing to have such excellent service. The rooms are... More
