My fiance and I needed to get away from the city and decided on a weekend getaway to the mountains. The Sautee area is so quaint and relaxing and there is so much to do in the area. We were not wanting for activities to fill our time and we enjoyed the time we spent at the lodge. We chose... More

My husband and I decided to take a short trip to celebrate our anniversary and birthday. We did not want to have to travel very far for just a couple of dasy. We chose Sylvan Valley, barely two hours away, site unseen and without any referrals. We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations, not to mention the individual... More

After reading mixed reviews about this lodge I was hoping to be able to come home and give a great review. No such luck! We arrived in after an 8 hour drive at 2:00, only to be very rudely told that check in is at 4. Ginera seemed very irritated that we were there. My husband asked if we could... More

Down to earth and friendly is my first impression of the couple who run this tucked away treasure in the mountains. If you love wine you will be thrilled you landed here first because Sylvan Valley has a wine tasting room with a vast array of local North Georgia Wines, including their own label. Ginevra and John are well versed... More

Read most of the reviews before our visit, and, as usual, the complaints from others seem to be a personal thing. We were more than satisfied with the whole experience...even had nice enough weather in February to hike part of the afternoon. Room was comfortable, wine was tasty, breakfast was above average...try the almond pancakes, even if you have no... More

We stayed here after buying a deal on LivingSocial. The space is great; it's a small hotel locally owned by a couple who also make the wine in their tasting room. We had a potential issue that was taken care of immediately & the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. Breakfast was included & was delicious! Wish we'd gone in... More

Enjoyed stay which included nice accommodations, great service, great breakfast, and great wine. Package included wine tasting at their wine room and at another local winery which were both great. Room was comfortable and clean. The only issue were the pillows-not good! Hope to return again during warm weather so can enjoy the patio and great views!

Our family has gone to Gatlinburg for years and several different states for unique wineries. Quite by chance we found a special that Sylvan Valley was running and decided that a weekend trip somewhere totally different was just want we needed. We had no idea what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised by what we found. We loved... More

Bad bed both for my back and my shins, grotesque salmon pink bathroom color, poor carpet, furniture needs to go to Goodwill, dusty heart shaped tub, curtains don't cover windows. Photos o website do not match what is actully there. Felt like it was bait and switch.
