What a beautiful mill and property. Mike and Linda are excellent cooks using their own grains - you will truly enjoy the breakfast! We stayed in the Waterfall Room and thoroughly enjoyed hearing the rushing water. Breakfast was eaten on the patio next to the waterfall. A very nice and gracious couple made our stay very memorable!

My girlfriend and I started our vacation to the Smokey Mountains here. It was a great place to start. First, Linda and Mike were amazing hosts. Super friendly and made you feel like home. We stayed in the Fireplace room. Big room, big bathroom and our own porch. After arriving our first day and doing a walk to Black Rock... More

Such a delightful stay! Visiting family in Rabun County, a perfect home-away-from-home. Linda and Mike are so welcoming and friendly. Stayed in the Waterfall Room and it did not disappoint. Literally the falls were just a few feet from our window.....so peaceful to fall asleep to the sound! They have their own mill, and the delicious morning scones featured their... More

I spent New Year's Eve at The Sylvan Falls Mill B and B. Linda and Mike are wonderful hosts. We felt like we were visiting with friends, not just grabbing a room at an Inn. The four guest rooms are well appointed. The room I stayed in, despite being just off the great room, was quiet and restful. Dining on... More

We stayed one night here in July and wished it could have been longer. This is a unique B&B with terrific owners. Our room was right over the waterfall and was a wonderful sound to fall asleep to. Linda was such a great conversationalist that we didn't even miss having a TV. She gave us really good advice and info... More

We found this B&B online while looking for things to do in the Dillard/Clayton area of Georgia and would definitely stay there again. Linda and Mike are the nicest people you will ever meet! Breakfast was delicious - Saturday morning was cranberry scones, fresh strawberries, Belgian waffles, and bacon; Sunday morning was crumb cake, cantaloupe, quiche, and hash browns. There's... More

This place is situated a little further down the road than my GPS said. While I unlike the time it directed me into a river, I was at the point of disbelief in what it was telling me and continued on the road until I came across the Falls and mill. It's cute, the mill shop was closed, but the... More

My husband and I went to Sylvan falls for one night and I wished we could have stayed longer. First off the location of the breakfast room and house is amazing right beside the falls, its beautiful and peacful! Also the inkeepers are wonderful, friendly, accommodating and wonderful cooks! This was the best experience we have ever had at a... More

Staying at a working gristmill is an unusual experience in itself but when it's run by Linda and Mike Johnson, it's even better. They make you feel right at home when you walk in. The three course breakfast was different every morning and delicious! She normally cooks with local foods and low sodium which tastes great. They are more than... More

I stayed at the Sylvan Falls B&B for seven nights. I have never been in such an extraordinary location for a B&B or hotel. The sound of the waterfall is soothing and mellow, the water wheel and working mill very impressive (it is off most of the time, great to see it work once while I was there). The breakfast... More
