We spent two nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas night. I have read complaints about the rooms, but ours was nice for the age of the motel. (It is a motel, not an inn) The beds do not have fitted sheets, so the bottom sheet will not stay on the bed. The room was clean. The room was not freshened after... more

It was not worth the $141 for room, breakfast and lights. I would have paid $35 only for the room. There was no mattress pad on the bed, there was no fitted sheet on the bottom, and the sheets were so thin you could see through them. The top sheet was not even a king size(the bed was king) They... more

My wife and I just wanted a quite weekend and heard that the gardens were beautiful, even in the fall. The gardens were beautiful but the Mountain Creek Inn was surprisingly run down. Our room was on the second floor so we had no noise problems. We thought at first that the room key didn't work but found out that... more

check in was fine. upon entering rm148 it was very outdated.Had to use hairclips to close curtains to keep people from seeing in. Bathroom extremely small and the door was warped and would not close. Could hear the conversations in next rm as clear as if we were there. Connecting door shook everytime the rm next to us entered or... more

We found the motel an older property with average size room and small bathroom. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Called for more pillows and they arrived within 5 minutes with a smile. All personnel friendly and very accommodating. Very family oriented and also accommodating to seniors. Had Fantasy in Lights package...well worth the money. NOTE: If you have trouble walking, arrange... more

I had never been to Calloway Gardens and was excited to attend a conference there. What a disappointment!! The Mountain Creek Inn is in need of a general update. There was a strange, musty odor in the lobby and bar area. The beds were very uncomfortable, the onsite restaurant was understaffed and the food was mediocre at best. The lunch... more

I stayed at the inn for one night. The place is very dated and had a moldy smell. The beds and pillows were not comfortable. All of us had problems with the alarm clocks which were 30 minutes behind. Do not eat in the Plant Room if you are in a hurry. It took over an hour for deli meat... more

Callaway Garden To begin with, the reason for us visiting Callaway Garden was for our 5-year-old grandson to go to the Day Butterfly Center. The employees responsible for overseeing the Butterfly Center could do with a “dose” of sensitivity training. One young man was particularly insensitive with his word choice and attitude. This can be crushing to a young butterfly... more

I stayed at this property over labor day weekend with my wife and two small children (2 & 5). First - Callaway has a name that would imply quality - so you would assume they would not put their name on something that was sub-par. Well they did! Notice that their website does not show any exterior pictures of the... more
