This was our first visit to Callaway and we had a great weekend. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is awesome. We were always greeted with a smile and every employee we encountered was quick to offer assistance. Our room in the Mountain Creek Inn overlooked the pool which was nice and big and ranged from 2 to 8... More

A great family time was had. Our rooms were very clean, comforatble and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.since this was my first time there, I had no idea what to expect. the staff was awesome. I thought this would be just a couple nights out with little or nothing to do...WRONG..The beach was great, the vendors... More

Looking for a last minute short get away before school started . Seen some great pictures online about the cottages when we got here they were really not like the pictures. The carpet REALLY needs to be replaced and the living room furniture needs to be cleaned and or replaced one of the good things are beds are comfortable. We... More

We stayed for a week and enjoyed it so much! There is a summer family camp available in summer months. We were not a part of the camp, but it looked fun. Next time we will look into it. We did go the the FSU circus and loved it. We rented bicycles and rode them up and down every trail... More

Dear Mommato3sons We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Maybe next year you will be able to come and let the children join the Summer Family Adventure program. Please don't forget that there are activities for the adults not only the children. Also you should come back in the fall and ride bikes through... More

We took our family of 4 for a the weekend to Callaway Gardens. We got a 4 Bedroom cottage (2239). Upon entering the cottage we were pretty shocked at how dated it was. The bathrooms are clearly original and have not been upgraded, circa 1960's. There was a flat screen TV in the den, but cables were going all over... More

My husband visited Callaway Gardens Resort as a child and he wanted our children to experience the Summer Family Adventure also, so we made the trek from California. I worried that I wouldn't have enough to do, and that my youngest would not want to attend the events planned for his age group, but I wrong on both accounts. My... More

Stayed at this hotel for a woman's retreat. The hotel is older (est. 1956), but is clean. The beds were comfortable. Your room includes entrance to Callaway Gardens. However, I do not feel the per night charge is worth it. A Friday night room is approximately $199. Room includes a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, flat screen tv. No microwave... More

We came to Callaway Gardens on a business trip. We were a little disappointed with the distance from where we stayed and where the meetings were. That being said, the facility is beautiful, clean, very well maintained. More of a retirement vacation area.

Dear rglover81 Thank you for your post. I'm sorry that you were disappointed in the distance between your accommodations and the meeting rooming. You are correct some of our accommodations are spread out over the property. Maybe you should have spoken with a manager to see if there were any way that you could have been moved. We hope to... Although the surroundings were beautiful, the Callaway Gardens Lodge and Spa needs to upgrade the rooms. The furniture was showing signs of nicks and wear, there aren't enough outlets for a business traveler, and the air conditioning didn't cool the room enough the first night. It took a full day to reach a comfortable temperature! The hallways were also very... More

Dear carolinagirls3 Thank you for your post. The inn was in fact completely remodeled (taken down to the concrete in 2012-2013 timeframe) and installed with new interiors. The mattresses, chairs and all soft goods were replaced. Maybe you should look into staying at the Villas or the Cottages the next time you are here. We hope to see you back... More

This was my first stay at Callaway Gardens and I wished I could have stayed longer. They had lots of attractions that were free to visit and exciting to be at. 1st day I visited the butterfly sanctuary and discovery center and attended the birds of prey show while waiting for my room to be available. All of those were... More
