Extremely pleased with our cottage...2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full kitchen, dining area, washing machine/dryer, 3 private balconies, fireplace, ample closet space, parking, great view...the resort is older and the feel is rustic (it is not brand new), but it was exactly what we expected for the location (cabin in the woods in a small town in Georgia) and... Don't listen to all of those people who had bad check in experiences. It specifically says that check in is not until 4pm, so yes if you show up at 10am plan on waiting around for a while. Come one people. We booked the room through a Living Social deal, and the room was a little over $100 and came... More

The property itself is nice with lots of bike trails and outdoor activities for families and a large event facility. However the villas at mountain lodge are not even equal to a 2 star motel. The are in much need of updating and very overpriced.

Thank you for your post. As you pointed out, the units are individually owned and individually decorated. The images of each are posted to our website so that guests can review and request, based on availability, the unit that they would like to stay in. We also offer two-bedroom cottages and brand new vacation homes. We appreciate you sharing your... More

I am currently a guest at Callaway Gardens. My room is below par. At check in I was given a handicap room. I am not handicapped, and I didn't ask for one. When I inquired at the front desk to change rooms I was then given a ground floor room right next to the fitness room. There are plenty of... More

We are so sorry to hear that had a bad experience. Our TripAdvsior manager was out of town until today; otherwise, you probably would have heard from us the day of your post and we could have assisted during your visit. We will private message you so that our director of guest services can reach out. We would love both... More

Check in was a disaster. Made reservation weeks ago, 2 side by side garden rooms. Arrived at 10am, was told just as soon as they were ready, we'd receive a call to come check in. Checked back, stood in line again & again, to be told "not available", while seeing other guests receive rooms beginning at noon. When I pointed... More

You are right! What a disaster. Our entire reservation system went down on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. Our team has worked like crazy to accommodate guests and get them into rooms. Many key team members didn't sleep for days to try to correct the situation. We can tell you that we'll definitely be better prepared if the system we... More

This is so beautiful! Our family came for camp and I can't say enough about the counselors! The kids loved them. They had so much fun and having a little adult time during the day was awesome! Great amenities. Wonderful staff!

The gardens are beautiful and the activities are endless. Robin Lake has a great Aqua Island area much like Wipe-out on TV, with sandy beach areas and a food pavillion. The FSU Circus performs free and is great fun. Other activities in the beach area are additional as are boating activities, golf, biking and fishing. The restaurants were varied and the... More

Callaway Gardens is a destination resort. The gardens and butterfly habitat are enough themselves. The year around special events add to the fun and experience that is Callaway. My wife likes the gardening classes but my favorite is the holiday lights during the Christmas season. Driving through the spectacle makes everyone a kid again. The accommodations are comfortable and relaxing... More

Thank you for your post. You are right that year-round offers a bevy of reasons to visit. And, a great bonus, is that everything is owned and operated by the non-profit Ida Cason Callaway Foundation - so your visit benefits its mission of environmental education and land stewardship. We bought a specIal package deal for $99.00 a night for 2 nights stay at Mountain Creek Inn inside Callaway Gardens. This is available directly from them sometimes and has been on Groupon. The package included 2 admissions into park, beach, 2 hr bicycle rental, 2 hr canoe rental, and Aqua Island a water obstacle course. Also included for 2... More

We spent one night at the Mountain Creek Inn before visiting Callaway Gardens. We selected the least expensive option on the property, but we did pay a bit extra for a room with a view. Check-in was fairly painless after we discovered where we needed to go. Some specific signage would prevent guests from having to open several doors before... More

Thank you for your post. We've already shared your comments about the bathtub, shelf and breakfast with the property's General Manager. We do appreciate guest feedback as a way to make improvements. We do hope that you will return to visit in the near future. Owned and operated by the non-profit Ida Cason Callaway Foundation. All after-tax proceeds to to... More
