I have stayed here many times and am always pleased. Whether traveling solo or with friends, this is the perfect place to stay. Elegant decor, friendly staff, and perfect location to stroll out to the shops ( don't miss Madison Markets across the parking lot!) and the beautiful historic neighborhoods are steps away.

This is a beautifully appointed hotel. We stayed here on the last night of our holiday before flying home from Atlanta. Our room was spacious and the shower one of the best we experienced during our holiday in the US. We had a very comfortable stay and a very good night's sleep due to a particularly comfortable bed. We can... More

Stayed here one night with another couple on our way to Chateau Elan. Beautiful! We had rooms on the second floor with an adjoining balcony that over looked a park. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and VERY clean with comfy beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to the historic architecture trail and right across the street from... More

This is a lovely appointed Inn with traditional furnishings and real Southern hospitality. The rooms are as nice as any we have stayed in across the US. The breakfast was also delicious and more than expected for a continental breakfast. We highly recommend the James Madison Inn if you are in the area. A very nice restaurant is adjacent also.

I stayed at The James Madison Inn for a business meeting. I did not research the hotel prior to the event so I had no specific expectations. When it finally came to checking in and getting to my room I only had one word upon opening the door...WOW. The room was immaculate and beautiful. Very spacious with a living room,... More

I was very impressed with this hotel. Very clean and gorgeous rooms! The breakfast was free, but just ok. We stayed for two nights and the staff at the front desk was very friendly. I thought it was a great size room with a comfortable bed. Loved the hotel and would return in the future. FYI hotel books up quick... More

We came to Madison for the July 4th weekend and stayed at the James Madison Inn. We were attracted to the inn for its historic look in its architecture and decor yet it's modern and luxurious accommodations. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was very up to date with a walk-in shower and double sinks. The location was fantastic-... More

We had a beautiful room with a four-poster bed and fireplace. It was quaint and a great price. In walking distance to the wedding venue -- Variety Works. We loved the service, the breakfast was delicious and the room romantic. Would return here again if ever in Madison!

We stayed here for five nights over the 4th July holiday weekend. The room we had overlooked the park with a shared balcony with the room next door. The room was very nice with a walk in shower and twin sinks in the bathroom. The hotel in general was an extremely nice place to spend a few nights, very clean... More

We come to Madison annually for July 4th and the James Madison Inn does not disappoint. The rooms are quite large with a walk-in shower, a sitting area and balcony. We prefer the "Market View" rooms; while the view is of a parking lot, it is much quieter at night since the "Park View" rooms face a somewhat busy street.... More
