The Jekyll Island Club Hotel is pretty amazing in numerous ways - the grounds are beautiful and classic, there's a good bit to do - you're right by the beach, they offer bicycle rentals, there's some (very easy) hiking opportunities, lots to look at (and it's super pretty), croquet on the lawn, several restaurants, a small museum, high tea, lots... The club and the adjacent cottages are beautifully maintained in as close to its original richness and details as possible. We stayed at the San Souci and was even more pleased with the ambiance of the classic decor as the club hotel itself. The service is always wonderful and all the staff is friendly and attentive. We have been going... More

My wife and I supplemented our vacation to Savannah with a two night stop at this resort. The property was picturesque in every respect and the staff was welcoming and very accommodating. We visited here just after New Year’s and the hotel was not very crowded which made for a very peaceful couple of days. Our room was in the... More

We have been coming here for our anniversary yearly. A historical hotel that is my favorite getaway. The rooms are so comfortable, and many with porches and rocking chairs. You can stay in various buildings, some "cottages" which are really mansions built by millionaires at the turn of the century. 2 restaurants and coffee shop on grounds as well as... More

My husband and I had a great short weekend get-a-way. Our accomodations were in Sans Souci. You gotta request a room with a fire place! There was a private balcony with rocking chairs and it was all exceptionally clean! A must stay! BRAVO to Kevin, Patty and the entire team! We didn't even turn on the TV! This hotel is a hidden gem among the southeast coast. The grounds are immaculate. The staff is most well trained. The food was excellent especially the grouper. The rooms are spacious. It is so relaxing. Walking around the grounds is exceptional. It's like going back in time when things were much simpler. Highly recommend

The outside of this resort has a WOW effect. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The rooms - OMG! There is a space between the door and the frame that you can see through. As you open the door the bed is right there, you have to dance with each other to move around the room. The window had... More

We were there for a wedding back in September 2014. The ceremony was done on the beach, the hotel itself had nice staff. I wish the Island had more to offer other than golf. We spent our days at the pool, which was nice and relaxing. The food at the wedding was great, we only ate lunch by the pool... More

Completely restored - built in 1896 - this hotel offers great food and beautiful grounds. Enjoy the 400 year old oak trees and read about the history of the "Millionaire's Club" The hotel was formerly for the very rich of the early 1900's. We stayed in the section that had the first indoor plumbing on the island - 1901. We... More

We spent Christmas Eve, Christmas and the day after at this old world lovely hotel. Their restaurant is superb. My only complaint was that our three rooms were small and cramped and will remember to ask for larger rooms on our next visit and yes, there will be a next visit. Fantastic good fun with the family.
