We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was somewhat dated but to be expected with the glorious history of the place. We found the service to be exceptional throughout the resort. With the gorgeous views, fun amenities and great food we could not ask for anything more. We will return ....

We spemt 2 nights/3 days on property at the Jekyll Island Club. The Club is a slice of history which makes this a very unique place to visit. The hotel is beautiful, elegant and a great place to kick back for a few days. We stayed in the Sans Souci cottage which is adjacent to the main property and a... More

This is one of those hotels that you will remember more than anything on your vacation. The hotel is surrounded with the history of the ultra-weathy during period around 1900. Many of the buildings have been restored inside as well as out. We walked the grounds and read the historical plaques by every building. The free museum is very worthwhile.... More

Recently being renovated to former glory, a place to get away from hustle life and relax in a very beautiful place. Public spaces great, all 156 rooms different, loaded with historic stuff. Not the fanciest ever, but an elegant lady with a lot of left in her. Staff wonderful, food good, grounds just amazing.

What a gorgeous elegant property for a hotel. Staying on historical grounds in itself is amazing, and it's a totally immersive experience. The grounds have the most beautiful old houses on them, most are open to the guests, and many actually have lodgings within. The huge old trees with Spanish Moss decorate the landscape and the background is the inner... More

Picture an elegant resort, steeped in history and frequented by the movers and shakers of the 20th century and picture that resort amidst live oak trees draped with Spanish moss and its branches covered with resurrection ferns (more about that later). That's the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, situated on an island just off the Georgia coast. The grounds are immaculately... More

My husband surprised by me by taking me here for a night on our drive back from a Florida vacation. Here's breakdown of the hotel. The grounds are magnificent!! The vegetation, flowers, gardens, amazing plantation Oaks, and wildlife are visually stunning to view. We counted over 15 deer grazing across the way from our suite at dusk. Many birds as... More

This was our first trip to Jekyll Island and our first stay at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. I booked the room at the Winter Getaway rate about a week before our arrival. The very next day the concierge Sherri emailed me to offer assistance booking dinner reservations and activities (a pleasant surprise). Check-In Upon check in our room wasn't... More

My wife and I stayed at the Jekyll Island Club for 2 nights. Our room was in the annex section, 3rd floor. It was clean and spacious. After reading some criticisms of the rooms, let me say we found it beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Yes, our pillows were comfortable. Our bathroom was clean and well supplied. Everyone was friendly and... More

A stay at this resort is a great treat in many respects: a majestic, grand old beauty of a hotel, with beautifully manicured grounds, impeccable and friendly service by staff, a gorgeous grand dining room, and affordable seasonal packages. We stayed in a king deluxe room in the lovely Crane Cottage, and appreciated the spacious room and the wonderful balcony... More
