We were looking for a quick get away and found this place on Expedia. It was only 30 minutes from our home so we decided to book it. The advertising for our room on Expedia was very misleading-it said our room sleeps 8 people. From the pictures we could see 2 sets of bunk beds and the description said they... More

Although we visiting during and before another storm, and we arrived extremely late. The staff and owners were very accommodating to our group. Manny braved the cold and wet weather to give us an excellent 2 hr trail ride into the Georgia countryside. The house was clean, staff was super friendly, our accommodations were awesome. I would love to visit... More

My husband and I just stayed here this last week while visiting family in North Georgia. This property is gorgeous and the owners are very nice- the breakfasts were delightful and we were happy to sit and drink coffee and chat with Pam and Larry in the mornings. The setting is amazing and the owners have clearly lovingly preserved the... More

We're glad that you appreciate the beauty and spirit of the Ranch as much as we do. The Butlers had to move back into the main house temporarily because of work being finalized at their new cabin home and Larry's recent surgery, but the Butler-Cape House will shortly be turned back to guests only. Only stayed one night -- found Pam, Rita and Manny to be very gracious hosts. Found the dogs -- Max Max and Amelia to be very sweet and loving. It is very rustic and like most home built in the 1800s -- close to the main road so yes, the traffic of today does make it noisy. We stayed in... More

First bed and breakfast we have stayed at, what a great place and authentic in every way, this is not a made-up ranch but an actual ranch, owned and operated by Pam and Larry, real folks. The history of the Ranch and our hosts was amazing. No TV in our room (great) which put us in touch with the 100... More

We stayed for one night as we were just passing through and what an amazing visit it was!!! We were greeted right away by Manny the groundskeeper and he guided us to our room, he was very nice! We brought our two labs and they had an absolute great time running free in the fenced in yard!!!! Our 2 year... More

I booked a two night stay here 31/2 weeks prior to a visit, and had to cancel it 24 hours later. They charged me a $68+ deposit for canceling, even though it was the very next day and way before our stay! The manager stated that, because they are a small business, they have to have supplies and all ready... More

We appreciate your comments. Our cancellation policy is posted prominently in several places. Thank you for understanding that we are a small family operation, and the lost time invested in serving the needs and wants of our valued guests would be impossible to recover without a cancellation policy. We sincerely regret this was overlooked prior to your booking. More

My fiance and I went to the range for the first time in May of this year. It was our first time learning to ride horses. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very comfortable and we felt safe riding the horses. We went at a time when a group of boy scouts went as well.... More

I really enjoyed my night at Seventy four ranch. Pam, Larry, and the ranch hands were all great, as were the other guests. I stayed in the Cowboy Cabin and found it to be a fun experience. Breakfast was excellent. It was just as you would expect a working ranch to be. If I wanted prim and proper, I would... More

I stayed there a few months ago. I do not like to write bad reviews but.... I have to agree with several of the other reviews, Larry needs help; do not take kids there at all! That's my only concern. Please. The house was very dirty and cluttered. Although the trail ride was a lot of fun! Alysia and Christian... More

We appreciate input from our valued guests and sincerely regret any disappointment you experienced. The Butlers have recently moved out of the main house to their own cabin, leaving the Butler-Cape house for guests to enjoy and simplifying the decor as well as separating their personal space from guest operations and interactions.
