I am a local, I booked for my family, never again. This park used to be run correctly until the new owners took over. On booking over the phone I was not told about any extra charges and when I received the confirmation email I was disgusted to notice a $200 hold fee. After paying around $250 a night I... More

We spent 6 days at Koala Shores caravan park and our family have had a ball. Through the week it is so peaceful and quite, on the weekend it got very busy but this is to be expected. The facilities were all clean and staff were helpful and polite. The pool is fantastic spot to cruise with the kids, salt... More

Every other holiday camp spot in Port Stephen was booked out so we resorted to Big4 Koala Holidays Park and it was very empty when we went (Thursday) since school was on. The people at the reception at the time of entry was great and extremely helpful explaining the facilties around the place. We booked for a tent site for... More

We stayed in a waterfront cabin with 2 bedrooms bathroom separate toilet kitchen-dining area very comfortable & clean. We had a bbq with sink on the deck and ohhhh that view. With a short walk to the water & pier what a great place for taking pictures. Staff were friendly & helpful. Would recommend doing the Koala walk along the... More

We stayed at a bush cabin which had 2 bedrooms. It was an older cabin but clean. Main bedroom mattress wasn't the best, maybe new mattress is in order. Kitchen, dining, lounge area was open and plenty of light. TV was fine on the first night but the following day, no TV reception, no mobile phone reception. This is unacceptable... More

We stayed in a Riverview Cabin for two nights. The setting is beautiful, but the cabin definitely needs updating, and beds certainly need upgrading. The Management was friendly and helpful. Didn't use the pool or café, so can't comment on those. It does appear that there are improvements being made in the park, with the old, dilapidated permanent caravans being... More

We stayed in our Pop Top Caravan at Big 4 Koala Shores Caravan Park in Lemon Tree Passage for 3 nights, 5th 6th & 7th February 2015 and took our small Toy Australian Shepherd dog (48 cm long x 26 cm high and under the 10 kg weight limit that we were told any dogs staying had to be). When... More

This park has potential, but the current management have got some strange ideas. Everything has a price tag attached and you are threatened with stupidly high fines if you don't fall into line. Staying at this park and want your relatives to join you for a picnic lunch? Yep, that will be $8 a head please for them to enter.... More

The lodges queen bed had broken springs WORST sleep I've ever had. The pool has no shade and the cafe is ridiculously OVER PRICED. The only good thing about this caravan park is the creek and if you go anywhere alongside port Stephens you can find a "free" entrance. There's also signs all around the cabin saying " $20 if... We have camped at this park every christmas for 16 years. We have never had a problem with anything previously until the current management took over. They are unprofessional and down right rude. Their service left us feeling humiliated and not wanted. The amenities were disguisting with faeces and human waste spread accross the toilet walls and shower areas. This... More
