We stayed here because online it said that they were pet friendly but when we arrived we found out that wasn't so. It was late and not very cold out so the dogs slept in the truck. Next time I book a room I will call to make sure, instead of just booking it. Helen is very beautifully decorated for... More

This was our second time to stay at Econo Lodge in Helen. My family and I always have clean rooms and prompt service. Also wanted to add that Dawn at the front desk is very friendly and helpful with all our needs. Three cheers for Dawn! Thank you, Laura Eddy - Birmingham, AL

This is your typical inexpensive hotel chain - nothing elaborate but decent and clean. We reserved a non-smoking room but of course someone had been smoking in it. Since it was during Oktoberfest, it was booked solid so there was not swapping rooms. Breakfast was included and they had a decent selection of food. We only found one ice maker... More

Reserved a room with a king size bed and jacuzzi for one night during Oktoberfest. When we arrived, to our dismay, the front desk personnel claimed that the previous inhabitant of the room had refused to check out, leaving their belongings in the room. We were forced to accept a room with two double beds and no jacuzzi. At first... More

The room we were given must have been occupied last by a herd of elephants. This place was foul and had the worst smell of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The air in the room made my family physically ill. There were fumes in here that could have killed a lab rat. It was disgusting and dirty not... More

Pros:I checked in at about midnight and was warmly and cheerfully greeted by the front desk person. She gave us some guidance on nearby activities, and when breakfast was to be served. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable. It was a non smoking room. We were late for breakfast - it ended at 9:00... More

Thank you for your response and thank you for letting others know where we are located. The owners are working on getting updates for the rooms. Sometimes, it can seem to be a slow process, however, they are working on getting updates for all the rooms, like flat screen TVs and such. More
