Howard and Susan Ted was a wonderful host perfectly suited to Folkston since he had worked for CSX for 23 years and knew all there was to know on the subject of trains. Sixty of them pass by everyday and to visit the viewing platform several blocks away was an adventure. There were half a dozen train spotters equipped with... More

My husband is a rail fan and staying at the INN at Folkston was perfect for both of us. He got to enjoy the ' railroad ' part watching trains at the Folkston Funnel while I enjoyed the "Relaxation" offered by the ambience of the Inn and the gracious hospitality of the owners Ted and Alese. The two of us... More

On our recent trip South, we wanted to spend a day or so at Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and chose to stay at the Inn at Folkston for a couple of nights. The Inn was absolutely wonderful - decor and comfort. It is one of the best kept and cleanest B&Bs that we have ever enjoyed. Ted and Alise tended... More

My wife and I stayed here while on our trip to Okefenokee. The owners were very friendly, the rooms clean and nicely decorated, and the breakfast was wonderful. They're located just on the edge of town in a very quiet area, and very close to the refuge. Ask for directions to the restaurant with frog legs and catfish, it's just... More

Ted and Alease have made this B & B into a very warm and cozy place to stay. Wonderful rooms, great breakfast, yummy chocolate coco, and only a few min. walk from the rail road viewing platform and downtown Folkston.

Great service and very very clean rooms. A return visit is planned it was that nice. The breakfast was in plentiful supply and was more than enough to keep us going all day. Superb location for the rail fan only a short walk from the rail viewing platform in downtown Folkston.

If you are going to visit Folkston or neighborhood you must stay here. Everything is perfect. Ted and Alyse are very kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and cosy. Homemade breakfasts are delicious. If you are a rail fan (like me) you will like The Inn at Folkston because it is quite close to tracks (5 mins on foot).

The Innkeepers, Ted and Alyse, are the perfect hosts. The accommodations are comfortable, the town is extremely friendly, and the breakfasts were all delicious. We brought our 4 year old son who enjoyed the stay. The Inn was family friendly and accommodating. We stayed at the Inn and spent a day at Okefenokee Adventures, the east entrance to the swamp.... The Inn at Folkston was a terrific base for visiting the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge last week. The comfortable and private room included an en suite bathroom, cozy chairs and good reading lamps. The house features charming architecture, a very large porch and a comprehensive list of nearby restaurant options. Hummingbirds flew throughout the gardens, which I was pleased to... More
