The Lodge is the low-budget end of destination hotels in the Lake Oconee area. The staff are friendly, and the price is unbeatable for the location near such a popular weekend destination spot near Atlanta. Just be aware that this place struggles with the finer points. During my overnight stay: - WiFi never worked - TV cable went out for... More

We recently stayed here to attend a University of Georgia football game in Athens. Rooms there are impossible, and since we were traveling from the south, it made sense. For the positives, the rooms were very large, with 2 queen beds and a queen-sized sofa pull out. Rooms include microwave and small fridge. A large family, like ours, has plenty... More

Bar none the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were filthy, from stained furniture to mismatched handles on the bathroom door. The grounds were not cleaned let alone on a daily basis, I noticed garbage left in the parking lot for days not to mention cigarette butts by the pool were there for days. On the bright side,... I stayed at the Lodge last night to attend a wedding at nearby venue. The staff was very nice and I was able to check in slightly early. Things went downhill after that. Since this is an area where my Sprint service was VERY spotty, I was depending on the Wifi in the property to do what I had to... More

After a road trip to Augusta, we decided to stay overnight here, and walk over to the Bone Island Grill for dinner. First issue we had was our room wasn't ready, and we were checking in at a few minutes before 5:00 pm. Not a big problem, we went over and had a drink on the patio next door. But,... More

I have stayed at the Lodge 3 times for business and each time was a great experience. Louanne, who checked me in each time, is very welcoming and made sure my stay was one that made me want to come back. Highly recommend these accomodations. Thanks, Louanne. You are great!

I stayed here 2 years ago for one night in late February while in the area for a conference at Reynolds Plantation. This trip I booked for 2 nights.in mid July. Being on the lake, the area was quite alive for the season. I was back on another conference so I didn't have time to enjoy the outdoors while at... More

I will let photos of this hotel explain most of my stay. PROS: Staff at desk was nice and we slept well in a nearly empty hotel. CONS: Please see my attached photos for only a few reasons we would never stay here again! You will find that cleaning needs serious improvement, or perhaps they just stopped caring in the... More

This hotel is very nice, and fit our needs to a tee! Although a bit run down inside, these flaws had absolutely no effect on our stay. The breakfast was super good, and could have been worth quite a few bucks if served in a restaurant. The staff-led by Tiffany, did everything they could to make our stay comfortable! Hats... More

This place is what you make it. If you are expecting super nice, spotless clean, and phenomenal service go to the nearby Ritz Carlton. If you want friendly, helpful, fine pool, beautiful lake setting, and decent free breakfast this is your place. I would bring lawn/beach chairs for sitting by the lake. I would bring a cooler for a picnic... More
