Chained oak is in a lovely setting, the rooms are spotless and well thought out. Breakfast is lovely and the people there are really friendly. A must if you are a fan of Hex at alton towers, as the legend took place on the land where the Chained Oak B and B is located. It's proximity to alton towers is... More

We stayed here for our son's 5th birthday, with a visit to Alton Towers the following day. It was perfect and we can't recall a better B&B. Friendly hosts, beautiful location, peaceful, clean, homely, super breakfast, and our son was thrilled with the animals and outdoor activities dotted throughout the land. Fun 10 minute walk across field to Alton Towers.... More

Where do we start... Liz, the owner is fantastic. she doesn't stop from morning til night. The accommodation is very clean, smart and cosy. Everything you need is in the room and the shower is great too. At the end of the rooms there is a covered area, ideal for chilling out after a day in the theme park. (On... More

We had a lovely stay at Chained Oak as part of our trip to Alton Towers, cheaper than the Alton towers hotels and much needed calm and tranquil after a busy day at the theme park. The owner was lovely and breakfast very good, plenty of choice and good quality food. Our 3 yr old loved the surrounding, looking at... More

We arrived on Thursday to sun and a lovely welcome from Liz. The room we stayed in was so clean and spacious. Great outdoor facilities for our 4 year old daughter. We were taken on a tour of the grounds. The breakfasts were lovely. The walk over the field to Alton Towers was ideal past the sheep and prevented any... More

We travelled for around 4 hours to get to the Chained Oak. Wow! Amazing first impression. Beautiful location. Our family included two children, aged 10 and 12, had the larger family room. Kids loved the fact that they had their own room with bunk beds! Our friends and their two children also had a family room which was slightly smaller.... More
