I booked this cottage months ago, I should have known from the lack of interior photos that there was a problem. This cottage is in dire need of an upgrade and until The Dillard House decides to do that - don't make the mistake of booking it. The beds creak like crazy, you can't even roll over without waking the... More

I made reservations for a cabin for July 16th. Was told over the phone that I had until 14 days prior to cancel or change reservation without penalty of $179. I was specifically given the deadline of July 3rd. When I called on the 3rd to cancel, I was told I should have called the day before. They stated this... More

This place was terrible. The only good thing was the view. We stayed 3 nights in Chalet #18, which is described as "upscale" on the Dillard website. The cabin as a whole was dirty, and smelled like smoke and mildew. The doors to the outside didn't shut all the way, and I felt like anyone could come in at any... More

My family and I recently were guests of the Dillard House Chalets. The accomodations were terrific and we had a great view of the mountains. There were many activities available to us horseback riding, golf and fishing in their stocked ponds. We also enjoyed dining at the Dillard House resturant. What treat! We look forward to returning again soon.

We rented a chalet and upon arrival, found trash outside, trash sitting inside as the cleaning ladies arrived and said they were behind because they had a lot of late check-outs. It would have been nice to have been told that when we checked in, but we weren't and it would have been nice for some sort of adjustment, but... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Dillard House since 1992 and have never had a bad experience. We try to stay as often as we can, especially for their 4th of July celebration. The food is awesome and so are the fireworks. We have met wonderful people who come there the same time every year. We also loved... More

Like the last reviewer, we stayed in Chalet #8. Immediately upon entering the chalet, the place had an overwhelming smokey smell. It is also very dark inside. I called the front desk about the smell. At first, they had the attitude that they couldn't do anything about it. Then they agreed to "send someone" to check it out. Well, they... More

My husband and I were looking for an affordable getaway for ourselves and our children. We decided to take to the Rabun County because there are beautiful National parks there for our kids to enjoy. The Dillard House was the perfect fit for our family because it had so many great on site activities and the mountains surrounded the property.... More

We booked a room at the off-site Chalets owned by Dillard House. There was no outside lighting to see to get up stairs in the rain, and the inside lighting was so bad I couldn't read at all. Damp and awful mildew smell. Bed was below acceptable and pillows were like rocks, I would not sleep in the bed. Spider... More
