If you like hiking, this is an awesome experience. We hiked up the falls first which was beautiful. I would advise making plans to hike the falls and to hike the 5 miles to the inn, it is well worth the extra walking. We went at the end of March and it was unusually cold this year, so the trees... By far, one of the best experiences I've ever had. The sunrise was unbelievable and the food was excellent. The entire place was clean and tidy-- hats off to the staff. Bill and Critter, you guys rock!! You made the trip that much more pleasant and enjoyable. I will definitely be returning!!

There's really not much I can say without reiterating what others have already said. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend here and don't feel like a penny was wasted. Great location and setting. The sunrise was phenomenal. Food was excellent. I saw some people rate the rooms pretty low, but don't go into this expecting a Marriott type of... More

Since other reviews have outlined how the Hike Inn is different from other hotels, I won't repeat. If you are unfamiliar with the Hike Inn then definitely do your research so you know what to expect. I for one very much enjoyed the rustic decor. Also the cooperative atmosphere makes for really good conversation. The food is good but if... More

We spent two nights at the Len Foote Hike Inn in February. A moderate hike of five miles gets you to a bunk bed, hot dinner, breakfast and shower. The inn has compostable toilets which are amazing (Showers and toilets are located in a separate building) Food is carbohydrate heavy with no accommodation for special diets (they will cook for... I cannot say enough about this experience. And that's exactly what it is, an experience. The grounds are amazing. The views are phenomenol and the staff is both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I am a scoutmaster with the boy scouts and the staff even taught me a few things about the outdoors that I didn't know. The hike in to... More

This was my second trip and I'm sure I'll be back. Easy to moderate walk on a well maintained trail. It was the middle of the winter so the leaves were down and we had great views along the trail and at the inn. The inn is clean, the food is good and the staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful.... More

Nice invigorating hike. The inn is comfortable, meals are hearty, we had good company in the other guests. Very interesting tour of the inn, including the vermiculture in the basement - very cool, reminded us of home. We had a "bug lecture" in the evening which was fascinating, to my surprise (my husband is a scientist, so was enraptured). We... More

The Len Foote Hike Inn is a unique place. If you love to hike (and backpack) but also like sleeping on a real bed and having some really tasty meals, then this is definitely a great choice. This was my second trip and I'm definitely going to return. The rooms are small but comfortable. The meals are very tasty and... More

This was the most fun ever. There is a 5 mile walk through the woods to get there. It was fall. The leaves were changing. It was enchanting. The inn itself was a real prize. The rooms were luxurious for a backkpacker. The food was great. They could even avcompdate a vegan diet. The communal meals meant we made lots... More
