After a 5 mile hike up the mountain it was a welcome site! Everyone who worked there were friendly and helpful. The place was rustic but clean. Even though it was December and cold we were always comfortable. The food was incredible, especially for me...I'm gluten free (15 years). I've never eaten so well, even my sack lunch was specially... Len Foote Hike Inn is a first class adventure. No disappointments. Our expectations for clean, hospitable, trail side accommodations were exceeded. Plentiful and hardy meals were enjoyed in the dining hall with "family style" service. Highly recommended for those seeking a comfortable night while enjoying the beautiful Appilacian Trail. More

The Hike Inn is a perfect quick trip for us from Atlanta. the 5 mile hike in is "just tough" enough. You travel up & down several small mountains on safe trails (although- you must watch the trail for rocks & roots). We stayed 1 night. We arrived around 4:30- in time to relax on the big porch. We enjoyed... More

I've been trying to get my husband into Backpacking, but he has an issue with the lack of showers while roughing it - the Hike Inn made a great compromise and introduction to backpacking for him. We were able to enjoy the short 5 mile hike over easy/moderate terrain, then relax in comfort and cleanliness...plus we didn't have to cook!... More

After hiking 5 miles from Amicalola State Park to get to the inn, my husband and I were pleased to be welcomed like old friends. The staff was friendly, the scenery beautiful, the food excellent and plentiful, the accommodations rustic - but the showers were hot and we had everything we needed! The only down side for us - bunk... More

It is approximately 5 miles from the parking lot at Amicalola Falls in Georgia at the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains. The 5 mile hike is rated as moderate and trail time is estimated at 2.5-3 hours, and the only way to reach Len Foote Hike Inn is by hiking in. It is an exceptional adventure for adventurers with... Just got back today. We have heard about the Len Foote Inn for years. As a treat for our 23rd anniversary we made a last minute reservation. The weekend was booked but we were able to go on a weekday. We were surprised how many people were there from all over the country. Great food, very clean, and just a... More

We just returned from a stay at the Hike Inn and can't recommend it enough! We left Atlanta on Saturday morning and arrived at Amicolola Falls by lunch time. We hiked to the Inn, with out 7 and 8 year olds in tow (everyone carries their own stuff in their own pack) and arrived in plenty of time to get... More

Great service. Nice place to stay. My 17 yr old daughter and I hiked to the Hike Inn. Spent a nice afternoon there. The next morning hiked to springer mountain and back- the start of the Appalacian Trail. I did this with my son when he was a senior. Both kids loved it. It was a great time hiking together,... More

My husband and I spent one night here on the 19 SEP 2011 and found the Hike Inn lodge to an immaculately clean and and quiet. I had requested a room away from the others fearing my husband's snoring would wake up the other guests, so we were put on the side opposite of the 9 other guests, which worked... More
