We just spent the weekend at the Waterfront Inn for a quick getaway. The owner Joanne could not have been more helpful in both responding to my requests prior to arrival, then provided us with a variety of ideas and suggestions once we arrived. The Inn is a work in progress with continous upgrades being made, and more planned. We... More

We enjoyed staying at the Darien Waterfront Inn. We could walk to the shops and restaurants nearby and we mean nearby---not the usual "within walking distance" touted by some advertising. Our king sized bed was wonderful. The room was decorated to the theme of "Gone With the Wind". The bathroom was large and very clean. It needs some hand rails... More

Our two night stay, a real treat. The location and accomdations were picture perfect. JoAnn, the hostess/owner was incredibly friendly and accomdating and made us feel right at home. Each morning breakfast was hot and delicious with homemade banana and strawberry breads. Fresh fruits, lots of coffee and hot teas were just a few of the offerings. The views from the... More

Darien GA was midway in our trip to Chapel Hill NC and in an area that had some intriguing points of interest. We were not disappointed. The inn is up the hill from the Darien River and a great seafood restaurant - Skipper's Fish Camp - and within walking or driving distance of several interesting historical sites (Tabby ruins, Hofwyl-Broadfield... Just spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Jo Ann. Had a relaxing, and enjoyable time. Biked around Darien and kayaked the river. Jo Ann is a great hostess and cook, and Kelly was quick to prep the bikes and kayaks for us. Perfect get away for a couple, any time of year. We will return. More

We stayed here on our way up to NC. It was right off the highway. The rooms were very nice and clean. Each one has a theme. They are in walking distance to some really good clubs and restaurants. Sit outside in the morning and enjoy a coffee with a great view of the river. One ding would be the... More

We have stayed with Jo Ann multiple times going back to her opening. The Darien area is a jewel of the low country with a people and a heritage that puts you back in a simpler time. The Inn's deck is huge and overlooks a river. The deck is shadowed by Spanish moss covered trees that make it the perfect... More

The Darien Waterfront Inn is the perfect combination of a motel and BnB. with a super sunny deck overlooking the Darien waterfront The Inn has private rooms like a motel but Inkeeperess Joane sets out a great breakfast every morning so guests can talk and share experiences . Joane also joins in the lively conversation. It is walking distance to... More

The B&B is in an old warehouse that has been converted into a B&B. We stayed in the "Gone with the wind" room, which was large and had an imitation fireplace. The high bed was very comfortable due to the mattress topper. Breakfast is Continental, with homemade cake and an egg quiche. Better be on time or there might not... More
