It was the worst resort we have ever seen. We had reserved 3 nights because it looked so nice online. It was so bad that we would rather lose the money than to stay in such a dump for even one night. The cabin had a very musty smell and there was nothing attractive about the place. The dinning hall... More

This was our 9th year in a row visiting Forrest Hills Resort! This was a B-day celebration, but we normally go as a romantic get away. The luxury cabins are to die for! A nice cozy fireplace room, a separate jacuzzi room with huge bay windows, a big soft bed and a beautiful porch looking out over the mountains! The... More

This is a very neat place to escape for a weekend or have a memorable wedding. If interested, you should really check out their website or visit if possible. It is very difficult to explain here. They have many amenities and food options. There is even a riding stable for trail rides. They have remodeled some of the cabins and... More

This was a romantic get away. We had the most wonderful time. The hot tub was very relaxing and clean. The staff was very friendly, the cabin was clean and we will go back again. My daughter and her husband stayed there for their wedding night and had the horse drawn carriage that took them their. It was beautiful. I... More

A two night stay in one of the cabins. The cabin was spacious and clean and the hot tub worked great. It's a lovely area. We had dinner at the resort one night and it was was very disappointing. We ordered steaks that looked like steak but had a strange and unappetizing texture. The sides were cold. Even my husband... More

I'm so sorry your dinner experience was not up to par. I discovered they are using a different kind of steak which I will bring to a halt ASAP. I am assuming breakfast was good. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and hope to have you back soon. Rest assured those bad steaks are history. More

Our large family needed a place to stay for two nights. We didn't have a lot of notice to plan, and I actually found Forrest Hills in a Google ad on top of my search. We booked five rooms in one of their lodges along with the use of the hospitality suite in the lodge. The lodge wasn't brand new... More

Stayed here during Christmas. Found a brown recluse spider by the sofa the first hour. Next morning 2 more, then 3 that night. We cked out a day early due to these poisonous spiders, yet management refused to reimburse us for that night. According to them we didn't provide pictures, and dated we brought in wood for the fire. So... More

Upon hearing a report of a brown recluse we immediately checked the cabin thoroughly as that would be a serious problem. We found no spiders at all, (and we do have regular spiders upon occasion since we are in the middle of a forest) nor did we find any remains had they killed one. The guests in that cabin prior... Spent hours looking for a nice, affordable resort in the mountains to spend our anniversary weekend. We had only been to Dahlonega once before and stayed at a B&B which was charming, however this go around it was unavailable. Accepted what we thought was a great deal thru BOOKING.COM. What we actually got was a run down, unrenovated shabby room... More

We do our best to accurately represent our property online. The main photo of this room shows that the jacuzzi tub is where it is. While we do our best to prevent issues, with almost 100 rooms on site it's important to bring any issue you find to management right away. We have since repositioned, and replaced the toilet, along... More

We went to eat their brunch and take my parents on a horse and buggy ride at this resort yesterday! It was their 50th anniversary. They didn't want a party so we decided to this with just our immediate family! The buffet brunch was to die for. Home cooking at it's best! The price was perfect for this quality meal... More

The glowing, positive reviews on this site are a scam! This old outdated resort has buildings with blue roof tarps and broken windows. The rooms have mold, The contents of the room were shabby, the sheets on the bed were not clean. There was no place to watch TV ( which had poor reception) no couch had to sit on... More

We are a family built and owned business and have been since 1977. This guest chose to stay in a room instead of a cabin. They are much less expensive than our cabins and are exactly as depicted in our website. Some people do feel that the tub is in an odd place. Others enjoy it, but we do not... More
