My husband and I were looking for the "perfect getaway" . I called last minute and was immediately sold! It is secluded, rustic, and affordable. Our meals were even included. Sounds too good to be true? We did not see anyone close by, the lovebird cabin had a queen canopy bed, in room hot tub, free movie rentals, kitchette, and... more

Forrest Hils was just what we needed. Rustic, charming, secluded, quiet, and pet friendly. Our cabin was huge, with a hot tub inside, fireplace, couch large enough for both of us to lay back and read, a wrap around porch with a swing, and a mini kitchen so we could stay in at night. The birds woke us each morning.... more

This was my husband and my second trip to Forrest Hills. We went to Forrest Hills for our honeymoon in December of 2002. Both trips were wonderful! We stayed in the Oriole which is one of the "rustic" or "budget" cabins. It's a great cabin with a hot tub, queen size bed, and wood burning fire place. We took breakfast... more

We stayed at Forrest Hills reort over Easter weekend. This was my third time there. The cabin and facilities are nice but older. The cabins are ideal for couples and have most amenities you would expect, except phone/internet. That's really the point here though. Forrest Hills is very quiet and peaceful and isolated. It is a great palce to reconnect... more

This was our first time and I was concerned with some of the bad reviews. OMG were they off! This place was awesome! We got one of the luxury cabins for my fiancee's birthday for a nice romantic weekend. Service was top notch. Rick and Dave are both extremely friendly and eager to please not to mention the incredibly friendly... more

We went to Forrest Hills for our honeymoon, it was TERRIABLE! their website was not as depicted and the rooms were not newly renovated. Their website lied about everything! When we drove up we thought we were in a Chevy Chase movie, we thought it was a joke! We got to the "cabin" we were staying in and it was... more

I went to Forrest Hills with my wife to get away. We rented the rustic cabin and we both enjoyed it very much. It was perfect for what we wanted to do. While they did offer a lot, we were looking for a rest and relaxation. We found it. Very peaceful and quiet. The food consistently amazing and we loved... more

What a unique and wonderful weekend getaway! My husband and I were surprised and how great the food was! I know this is very subjective but really we thought very good! The "Secret Garden" is very quaint and rustic yet romantic. The folks in the office were so nice and accommodating. When I read the reviews about how they immediately... more

I recently reserved the "luxury Cabin" (number 11 was the one I stayed in) on Jan 31 & Feb 1. I will do my best to give you an idea of my experience. Checking in was easy - and my cabin was ready early - actually checked in at 12:00 noon. The layout of the cabin was just like described... more

I had visited Forrest Hills many years ago with a church group and was not very impressed but when I went looking for a location for our ladies retreat, it seemed to fit the bill. I am so glad that I gave them another chance! We stayed in Deer Trail Lodge and it was wonderful! The food was outstanding but... more
