My fiance and I visited delohnega for the day and were suggested the smith house by a local teacher at their high school. I honestly didn't even look to see what kind of restaurant it was, but I was disappointed. It is very overpriced, all you can eat it or not. $44 for two people after tip and the food... More

We took a northern guest to the Smith House after hearing about their famous family-style southern cooking. What a disappointment! The food was okay but way short of Mary Mac's or the OK Cafe in Atlanta. Service and setting were adequate but without charm - even for family style. It was definitely not worth the trip from Atlanta.

This was a very nice "hotel", though I don't really think hotel is the best description. It has more of a feel of a bed and breakfast inn. The Smith House is just that, a house. There are wood floors and staircases, siting areas both inside and out, and beautiful, home furnishings. The rooms are smaller than a normal hotel... More

The Smith House has a perfect location for visiting our two children who attend college at UNG. It is within walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as the campus. The room was very comfortable and clean. The renovated bathroom was very nice. We will choose to stay at the Smith House inn the future!

We planned a two night get away to include meeting friends for dinner and taking in the Literary festival. The location next to downtown Dahlonega was just right for us. We parked our vehicle and walked to restaurants and attractions which were very close. The Smith House staff were friendly, inviting and helpful. Our room was comfortable with a full... More

Went for a late lunch at the Smith House restaurant. It's family style and there are lots of items to choose from and they were all delicious. We didn't need any more but they even offered to refill the serving dishes. Great service, delicious food and good value.

The Smith House provided a very pleasant weekend for my wife and I. The room was very nice, very comfortable. The location is ideal; just a half block from the Square so its just a short walk to restaurants, etc. Speaking of restaurants, the food at the Smith House is great; good southern cooking and plenty of it! Also, the... More

My husband and I stayed her for New Year's Eve. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The room was beautiful and it looked like it had recently been completely redone. Comfy bed and cozy room. It is perfect for walking around downtown Dahlonega. Will return again very soon.

As a part of our family’s holiday activities, we traveled to Dahlonega, GA, and spent the night at The Smith House Inn. We found the inn to quite charming. While it was not our first visit to Dahlonega, it was the first time we visited the Smith House. The accommodations and the personal attention provided by the front desk staff,... More

My husband and I stayed here for an R&R weekend. The staff was so helpful. We loved that it was within walking distance to downtown Dahlonega. We also loved the southern family style dinner! My only complaint with the area was that the downtown area closed a little early. We thought it would stay open a little later than 6-7... More
