I stayed here with 2 other girlfriends of mine over Christmas and the 3 of us loved the hotel. I am happy that chose to stay here. We stayed on the top floor, which has Sara's Room and The Captain's Quarters. Both of the rooms were spotless and very nicely decorated. Mike (the owner of the hotel) has put a... More

I stayed in Sara's Room at the very top of the house and just loved it!! The room was adorable, spotlessly clean, and overlooked the downtown square. It's furnished in antiques and features a clawfoot bathtub (along with a nice glass-enclosed shower). Mike, the proprietor, could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Since I arrived early in the day,... More

Top of the Square--now called the Hall House Hotel--is a great find! This quaint little place is right on the beautiful Dahlonega square with several shops and restaurants literally steps away. Our room, Captain's Quarters, was nicely decorated with a sitting room and whirlpool tub in the room. The owner has looked after every detail and his hospitality is first... More

We wanted accommodation on the square or very near in Dahlonega as we were visiting on Halloween when hundreds of cute, costumed children trick-or-treat there. Our room couldn't have been more conveniently located, and it was so nicely furnished with tasteful antiques. We stayed in Sara's Room, which had some interesting history. This isn't a B&B like you might expect... More

My husband and I stayed at the Top of the Square last Saturday night. We loved everything about it! Our room was beautiful, the location can't be beat, breakfast at Bourbon Street grill was delicious, and the owner (and any other staff we encountered during our stay) was super friendly. We will definitely be back here.

Customer serive was excellent, location is great, and there is a restaurant and tasting room right downstairs! Wasn't sure if the room would be quiet as there is a restaurant one floor below but I didn't hear any of the noise. Two perks for staying at this BB- you get free breakfast at two offsite locations and one free bottle... More

What can I say, you simply have to come see for yourself. Many have made Dahlonega their home after just one visit. And of course the only place to stay on your visit is Top of the Square that is as quaint and historic as the town itself and located directly above the town square. Mike the curator (keeper of... Dahlonega is a must visit destination. The delightful town is wonderfully complimented by this delightful B&B. A great host and great location. You can't go wrong staying at the Top of the Square.

Mike (the innkeeper at Top of the Square) is a great guy, a solid citizen, and an attentive host. We had a great time in Dahlonega and loved our little room on the town square -- super cute! Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than we'd planned, but Mike found someone else to rent the room at the last minute,... More

Brilliant location, right on the Town Square. We were late arriving, sometimes frowned upon in small establishments but Mike (the Innkeeper) happily waited around for us, made us feel very welcome on arrival and even invited us for a drink in the bar downstairs. We found this extremely good after a long days travel. It is an unusual arrangement with... More
